1911 converted to DA/SA

Recommended Posts

My buddy dropped off a Colt Series 70 Mark IV that has been converted to a DA/SA pstol. It looks like a plate was put on one side and a trigger pin drilled in frame. The new trigger actually contacts a shortened original trigger to fire.

Anyone ever seen one of these?

I am familiar with the Seecamp conversion that originated many years ago. Does it look like this?

JMB just through up a little in his grave!!!!!!!!!!!!

Especially on a Series 70 Colt

They were done on Series 70's because that's how far back that conversion was done by Lou Seecamp, before the Series 80's time. I have handled one in my lifetime. Apparently, they have a bit of collector value today.
