Ray Ray 3,566 Posted September 14, 2010 It won't last long against zombies. I had one for the yard and the little plastic tabs that hold the grip together pop out. making the grip loose and uncomfortable.

I know, Ray. Just bought it for fun. Worth 5 bux anyway. If it comes loose, replace with a wood grip ... or glue the plastic grip w/ crazy glue or something! bbk 188 Posted September 14, 2010 Speaking of... I got a Cold Steel Kukri awhile back (the cheap version... like $20). I don't know if anyone else has one, but gosh, I really don't trust that thing with my life. It has decent balance, but the blade is terrible. Does anybody have one that they've used? Just curious what type of feedback. [For reference: http://www.coldsteel.com/kukrimachetes.html ]
Krdshrk 3,877 Posted September 14, 2010 I have a Kukhri as well. Cheap one for playing around with. It's decently sharp though - I can sharpen it even more.

Khukri's are a blade (usually curved) associated with the Gurkhas (today's Nepal), but as you can imagine, there are variations of blades in many parts of India. The part of India where I come from (350 Km, south-east of Bombay), the Maratha's use this. Here's an example. These would be the 15-17th century CCW weapons of the Maratha's. In my family, we had several samples.

Don't think he even makes them anymore and I've only seen them pop up on the used market a couple times. Here's a pic of a diff model Killa Zilla: http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2600/4142061347_b446d071c3_o.jpg For those not familiar with Busse knives, they generally start in the $300 range and often go for $7-800 on the used market depending on the model. And yes, this was a rather useless post
