vjf915 456 Posted April 8, 2011 When I first got into guns, I never thought I would be an AK guy. Love 'em. They have a rugged beauty to them.....can't wait to see the pictures.

vjf915 456 Posted April 8, 2011 Sweet. I can't see the stock, but if it doesn't have one already.....you should invest in a recoil pad for it. It's not unbearable, but your shoulder may get sore without one.
Geene519 1 Posted April 8, 2011 Welcome to the club. haha I don't see a need for a recoil pad, i've put a good amount of rounds through mine in a day and never was sore. My mosin however did leave me sore. lol
dave545 15 Posted April 8, 2011 im thinking about getting that zombie chop battle axe stock for it
RecessedFilter 222 Posted April 8, 2011 Recoil pad...on an AK!?! Haha cmon, vjf! Buy a case or two of ammo, a bunch of mags, and go enjoy it at the range!

The Dark Knight 11 Posted April 8, 2011 No offense but unless you are older and/or have a shoulder injury or something...you should not need a recoil pad for 7.62x39...Heck, 90lb African kids shoot it no problem on full auto so you have no excuse "RIFLE IS FINE...FIRE MANY MAGAZINE OF CARTRIDGES" - Comrade Ivan Chesnokov
dave545 15 Posted April 8, 2011 going to cabelas tomorrow i have some gift cards going to buy 500 or so rounds and going to buy some mags as well
Pew Pew Plates 358 Posted April 8, 2011 Nice rifle! Recoil pad?!?!??! These are recomended as ladies guns all the time (these and ARs) for their lack of recoil.
M4BGRINGO 139 Posted April 8, 2011 So, how/where did you buy that gun? All the sites I looked-at won't sell it to people in NJ (and several other states).
dave545 15 Posted April 8, 2011 i found it at tips hardware down south off exit 54 i believe here is there link they had one left when i bought mine yesterday so it still might be there so if you want one give em a call http://www.tipshardware.net/
M4BGRINGO 139 Posted April 9, 2011 I'd love to call them if I had my FID! Five weeks and counting.............. Funny how so many people describe locations in NJ using Exit #'s from major roadways. Wonder if CA is the same way. I tell people I live off Exit 9. No need to tell them that it's the NJTPK. People from NJ always seem to know.
vjf915 456 Posted April 9, 2011 Nicka please, I didn't say he NEEDED one. I just said that without one, his shoulder may get a little sore.
Ray Ray 3,566 Posted April 9, 2011 What upgrades are you going to make, if any?
Babaganoosh 192 Posted April 9, 2011 I'm 6'6". I shot my cousins wasr the other day. I would add a recoil pad just to extend the length of the stock for my long a** arms.

I regret selling my PAP, but I will buy/build a pistol grip rifle that takes double stack.
