So everybody is aware of Project Gunwalker aka Project Fast and Furious right? You know, where the ATF allowed guns to be smuggled into Mexico in order to trace them to the cartels, but lost track of them once they crossed the border right?

Well, just as fanatical as the flat earthers were back in the day, the brady bots are trying to use this whole thing as a way to push for more gun control. Cause in their way of thinking, if their wishlist was in place to begin with, then the ATF would have been powerless to allow this to happen in the first place.

Now we have Rep Cummings of Maryland having *gun control* hearings on this whole thing tomorrow.

You can read more about it from David Codrea > http://www.examiner.com/gun-rights-in-national/cummings-schumer-to-hold-gunwalker-show-trial-for-gun-rights

And John Richardson > http://onlygunsandmoney.blogspot.com/2011/06/diversionary-tactics.html

Just in case you don't know what the gun grabbers CURRENT wish list is, you can see it here > http://feinstein.senate.gov/public/index.cfm?FuseAction=NewsRoom.PressReleases&ContentRecord_id=8a7bfcd5-5056-8059-76fa-8dece24f4615&Region_id=&Issue_id=

You know, I'm gonna play devils advocate here and say if the UN Small Arms Treaty were to be in place this would have still happened, but the consequences would have been a lot worse for the government agency. Thats why it was proposed. To stop things like this from happening. But thats in a perfect world. Now I guess we have to bear the consequences of government gone wild.

Haha, Cemetery Bob, did you read the post I made a few weeks ago regarding Fast and Furious? I predicted something like this was going to happen, I really think that the whole purpose behind the operation was to give fuel for the Brady campaign's constitution burning fire.

I knew this was a cluster *uck when word first got out earlier this year.

I seriously doubt anything good will come out of this. We'll either get a massive anti gun package heading towards Obama, which will be made to be a campaign issue next year, AND OR, we'll get what's his face from Chicago as the new ATF director as a cherry on top of the steaming pile of excrement.

This is destined to be bad...

The Dems have one-party hearings on a subject near and dear to their hearts. They come up with "recommendations" for a new, sweeping roster of laws and regulations further hobbling the Constitution and our rights to possess firearms and/or do so anonymously (in the rest of America). The Republicans denounce the recommendations as onerous and draconian, as spitting on the Constitution and pissing on the graves of the Founders. Keeping in mind that the Constitution and its meaning are no longer taught in our schools, the Dems rebut the argument as being totally outdated and irrelevant, and that the protection of our children is far more important than clinging to a ratty old document full of ancient ideas written in a simpler time by people who could have no possible conception of the complexities of modern society and global necessity. It goes back and forth for a few months, and slowly comes to a boil as every word uttered by any Republican against the new recommendations becomes a voice over Democrat campaign ads depicting urban gun violence and Mexican drug cartel massacres.

Brilliantly planned and executed, the ads mobilize Obama's core demographic to "Save our children from the Republican gunslingers" at the same time the "Save our grandparents from the Republicans who want them dead" O'care ads are running.

The Left wing flat earthers will say that you're a paranoid right wing fanatic with nightmares of persecution, yet the brady bot flat earthers are already preaching this from a top a hill.......

Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean that they're not really out to get you.

The y would have to hold one party 'hearings' because the illegality of F&F would come up otherwise. I would be worried if they bring out Rep. Giffords and she would be suddenly very anti-gun. I have no idea if she is/is not or has changed her mind at all or what. Just saying she would be a tough poster child for pro 2A congress critters to downplay if she comes up on the aniti side.

I'm a flat out, openly proclaimed socialist. I also love guns and believe everyone has a right to own them.

Please stop using paranoid stereotypes. Not all of us on the left want to take your guns from you.

Socialists don't believe in individual rights..... and it would seem neither does the left. Doesn't matter what the topic is, regulation seems to be key priority.

You have a lot of research to do, my friend.

No, you're not, but you're awfully quiet when the anti gun left starts beating the drums and blowin' the trumpets for gun control.

Yes, I'm very quiet

And please, I'm not here to start a **** slinging contest. If you'd like to meet plenty more liberal gun owners like myself, check out http://www.theliberalgunclub.com/phpBB3/ or http://www.reddit.com/r/guns

r/guns has over 27,000 members, almost fifteen times as many as this forum.

Please try be open to the fact that there are quite a few of us on the left who love the second amendment. We hate people like Feinstein and Schumer just as much as you.

'Not as long as the Republicans control the house. Grassley and Issa are HAMMERING Atf over this..there is more coming out every single day, and now that ATF has started Termination proceedings against one of the key Whistleblowers AFTER being warned by Grassley not to, there are going to be some stretched-out and sore Balloon Knots before it's all over, and methings some folks are going to jail....the Acting director is teetering on the edge of rolling over on HIS Bosses at DOJ, maybe even as high up as Holder Himself, or, dare I say it.... the guys sitting on Pa Ave.

I will agree to disagree. Perspective is reality, and right now one of the leading arguments in this country is gun control, and is headed by liberals. Socialism is built around equality and decisions made by the people for the people. Some could argue that's good. However, rights become things that are "vote-able" and are no longer rights but rather rules and laws that can be changed and effectively eliminated if the people wanted to do so.. The hard part when talking to liberals and socialists is to understand exactly what direction they would like to take the country, I'm personally for conservatism but its not something i label myself, im not a conservative, i'm not shouting that the country should enslave blacks like it once did, I'm pro-choice, and the list can go on... but fundamentally i am for keeping the country the way our founding fathers "created" it. The sooner you realize that its not about politics, its not about sides or labels, its just about what you believe in and who you support, the better off you become. The saying goes, guilty by association, i do not associate myself with parties full of personal agendas..

I didn't mean *you're* as YOU, I meant *you're* as a group. Nothing wrong with being on the Left and a gun owner, I'm an ex Lefty myself (I bailed on the Democratic Party when I realized they're more excepting of fat drunken naked Mayor's, then they are of some guy who likes to make smoke and noise in a safe environment), but when push comes to shove, I never see anybody from the Left denouncing gun grabbers who come from the Left out in the open. Chatter on a forum is one thing, but in public is where it counts. If there was a Left pro gun group like the 2AF, or NRA, or ANJRPC, I would join in a heartbeat.

So when I see the Left coming out against Rep Cummings trying to push his gun grabbing wet dream, during the Gunwalker/Fast Furious hearings, I'll be more accepting.

And one final thing, God bless forward thinking Democrats like Rep Brandon Phelps in Illinois, may his actions help NJ Democrats open their eyes.

What the hell does that have to do with Conservatism? You sound like Chris "I get a thrill up my leg" Matthews talking about Michelle Bachmann.

I'm a Conservative, pro-choice too, but I don't believe we should go back to slavery. That's the STUPIDEST thing I ever heard.

That was the point! lol. The hard left would like to believe that conservatives are nothing but gun nuts who think slavery should be re-instated, people who have been raped should be forced to bare the child, and soo on.. I was just making a point that there is a stereotypical persona encircling every party. C'mon man I'm smarter then that! I find that all sides go to extreme exaggerations to prove points, it's easier to get votes based on fear. I find that only a very small percentage of people vote because they truly believe in what their voting on is right, especially when it means they have to give something up for it.

Well, it doesn't come across that way in your post, I just took it the way it sounded.
