henrym 19 Posted September 20, 2011 One of the welds on my HK magazine cracked one me and opens up when under load, causing a failure to feed. Id like to not have to scrap a 60 dollar mag. Any suggestions?
Tactical Turtle 11 Posted September 20, 2011 Is it metal or plastic?? I would try gorrila glue on the plastic, maybe jb weld on the metal, disassemble completely apply on both sides and remove excess let dry for 72 hours clean up any left residue with sand paper or emry cloth and then try. Unleashed you got a tig welder Lmao that would work to. Make sure u clean the surfaces before you do either of these fixes

Tactical Turtle 11 Posted September 20, 2011 May wanna check out your local exhuast shop.. they may have one..... Or a machinists may know a welder. There's a chance though it will cost more to weld then what its worth....
chris327 30 Posted September 20, 2011 Just wondering why tig and not mig welder?
MedicYeti 96 Posted September 20, 2011 Call H&K and tell them it's a brand new mag and it broke the second time you used it. Ask to send it in for a replacement. Worst they can say is "No".

djg0770 481 Posted September 21, 2011 Just wondering why tig and not mig welder? Cause tig is appropriate for really fine work. What you see on American Choppers for instance is tig
Malsua 1,422 Posted September 21, 2011 Cause tig is appropriate for really fine work. What you see on American Choppers for instance is tig +1 It's amazing what a good tig welder can do. The only problem I could see in this particular instance is if there really isn't enough material to join the two pieces.
