kkuo12887 0 Posted February 23, 2012 Was open LAST weekend.. I would call first.. I managed to get in at 9:20am and they had 2 tables.. The worker said PINE so maybe he doesn't know.. I was at Range 14 today and they have the frame for the overhead covers installed (rifle range). Hopefully, they'll finish it by the end of this month, but it's unlikely. Here's a few friends and me having fun at the pistol range today.

Hopefully, they'll finish it by the end of this month, but it's unlikely. Are the hours at Range 14 different than what they have posted? According to the website it's not even open Thursdays... From the website: Wednesday 1:00-8:00pm Friday 1:00-8:00pm (April - December Only) Saturday & Sunday 8:00am - 4:00pm
11b1p 14 Posted February 26, 2012 I drove past today. There were a couple of people shooting clays but they still haven't put the roof on the rifle line yet and it looks like there is only a couple of positions to shoot in.

notmetoo 41 Posted March 7, 2012 Sigh. Was at 14 today and looks like no progress since YWHIC's picture on Feb 22. Three tables open at the rifle range. Crowded today, too. Had a good time with my son and his friend (a first time shooter.) An hour on the pistol range and some time at the skeet fields.
Pizza Bob 1,488 Posted March 7, 2012 Aha! Practicing for Sunday, huh? That's not fair.
notmetoo 41 Posted March 8, 2012 Aha! Practicing for Sunday, huh? That's not fair. I wanted to get a few rounds through the 226 before Sunday, so yes I was cheating! BTW it seems to shoot low, but I'll give it more time. I'm using #3 in the picture below and it still seems 3" low at ten yards.
YWHIC 18 Posted March 8, 2012 AndyB.. With my Sig Pro 2022 I use the #3 and hit fine at 25yards.. I talked to James (range master) yesterday via phone.. he said those 3 tables are staying the way they are and they may squeeze one more somewhere on that side.. There looking to get the benches UP and get setup soon.. I'll be heading out Friday @ 1pm to try my new TOY with the 15" rail I've been babbling about.. YWHIC 18 Posted March 8, 2012 Hmm.. I'll try calling today and get someone on the phone to confirm I guess.. If not I'll have to wait till next weekend.. this s*cks..
YWHIC 18 Posted March 10, 2012 Was at the range today on Lane #1 for rifle.. still only 3 spots.. The roof is on the top of the new section.. heard the manager talking and he asked the construction crew where are the flag holders going to be put at.. YWHIC 18 Posted March 17, 2012 I was there at 7:40 and there were 4 people in front of me for rifle.. there was a TON of people behind me.. The good news I saw some guys putting the bench pieces on the slab for possible assembly.. The fog rolled in early and I was fine with leaving knowing they wouldn't strart on time at 8:30 today with that fog.. lol.. I'll try tommorrow morning.. and get there at 7:20.. lol
XDJohnTact 49 Posted March 17, 2012 I think the forum should organize a group of volunteers to go out to Range 14 one day and help assemble the new shooting tables? All it would take is one phone call from Maks to see if it is possible or even wanted and a post here to get some people to sign up.
YWHIC 18 Posted March 18, 2012 Got there at 7:25 and got lane 1 on the rifle side.. Heres a pic of the rifle side.. notice the benchs laying there.. wonder how long thats going to take..
YWHIC 18 Posted March 21, 2012 Today @ 1pm was a mad house. I had to wait for 1 hour.. Still 3 lanes.. they decided to build the tables on the far end first.. WTH?!? The electrician was a busy bee the others doing the tables were sitting for the most part as they got like 5 up.. There installing lighting and cameras to keep an eye on things on the benches for safety concerns..

It makes sense to work on the far right side first so that if the existing 3 older tables need to be replaced, it'll affect only the lanes closest to it. TheLugNutZ 21 Posted March 22, 2012 Hell an hour wait is nothing! Good to see they are coming along. I need to get out there soon. I also need a damn upper!

I'm using #3 in the picture below and it still seems 3" low at ten yards. Same issue here with a 226 in 9mm. Mine is due to come back from the factory today, I sent it in for an Action Enhancement package and to verify the sights as I was also shooting low using the #3, combat sights. I asked it to be checked and the possiblity of them swapping the sights so I could get a #2 sight picture. I'll let you know what I find. hitting a 6" steel plate is tough with #

(and does it include Viagra )

Regulator72 80 Posted March 22, 2012 Fedex just dropped mine off. They changed my rear sight (was a #8) to a #9 and did the AEP. I obviously have fired it yet, they also included a test target with 5 rounds @ 15 yards, right where they need to be. Sig's sight #'s equal a 2" change in poi. so, the higher the number the higher the poi, so the # 9 should take care of my low shooting. If you ask nicely on the phone, they will split the shipping cost and discount the aep.
JLHockeyKnight 0 Posted March 24, 2012 How is it usually here? I've been thinking of signing up because it's a good midpoint between me and my family if we want to go shooting. Is it busy a lot? Any wait time to get on? Etc? Seems like a good price. Sorry, kind of random compared to other discussions here, this just seemed like the most appropriate thread. XDJohnTact 49 Posted March 24, 2012 Can be a good deal for the occasional shooter. It is crazy now because they are rebuilding and only have three rifle ports open now. When they are done, it will be better. Usually pretty busy when they first open and slacks off later in the day. Good bang for your buck.
JLHockeyKnight 0 Posted March 31, 2012 Appreciate the insight John. Hopefully they get done soon. I'll probably sign up because it's dirt cheap. Can't complain about that.
