Midwest 28 Posted May 11, 2012 This is the key.. I think people/politicians might be just starting to realize how 'pro-gun/self defense right' America is.. With the amount of gun sales skyrocketing.. it might be in the politicians favor to realize that they have a select base of voters they can appease too if they lean more towards our way with gun/2nd amendment rights.. Thoughts?? There have been even more pro 2A victories recently throughout the land. I been studying gun laws and developments around the country. We almost had constitutional carry in New Hampshire and Montana but still, at one time these things would have been a pipe dream ...the bills made it far enough to be actually voted on. Montana is almost constitutional carry in areas away from cities and towns. And believe it or not, there is still a glimmer of hope for conceal carry in Illinois. Lets not forget our neighbors to the North....Canada...who against all odds just scrapped their Long Gun Registry. And speaking of other countries, there is an International organization formed to protect gun rights worldwide. "International Association for the Protection of Civilian Arms Rights" Americans are arming themselves like never before. http://www.courant.c...0,5191260.story Americans are arming themselves like never before. Firearms-related businesses say they are hard-pressed to meet demand, which they say is being generated by factors ranging from feelings of insecurity to presidential politics. Oklahoma passes open carry (for those with carry permits). http://www.newson6.c...lahoma-governor Michigan allows silencers. http://www.mlive.com...neral_says.html Michigan might get rid of purchase permit and registration for handguns. http://www.nraila.or...gistration.aspx Michigan to allow tasers. http://michiganradio...sers-be-carried Conceal carry permits double in five years in Michigan.... Of 401,000 active concealed pistol licenses in Michigan, more than half — 202,353 — were issued in the past five years, nearly 20,000 in 2008 alone, according to Michigan State Police data. From The Detroit News: http://www.detroitne...3#ixzz1ubeXaVs1 New Hampshire almost had Constitutional carry. http://www.nashuatel...-shot-down.html Montana almost had constitutional carry, but ... There is a huge momentum for self defense in this country and it is gaining strength every day . I would like to see NJ politicians get the hint one day from the politicians in KY. Believe it or not, my Representative , Addia Wuchner has this on her web page. http://addiawuchner.com/?page_id=482 "I am a member of the NRA and a gun-owner. I was co-sponsor of the Kentucky Castle Doctrine legislation. I have an “A” legislative rating with the NRA. I believe that law-abiding citizens have the right to defend themselves and their families."

ryan_j 0 Posted June 15, 2014 The thune amendment almost made it reality and it was short just a few votes. If the senate flips GOP in November it could very well happen.
