Sabeast 0 Posted June 5, 2012 This will be my first handgun and im the "artsy fartsy" type I guess you can say. I was wondering if anyone knew of any guns that come stock in gold, or engraved, or just all around different. Something cool, moslty .45 or .40. JonF 79 Posted June 5, 2012 Taurus sells a PT1911 that has either a stainless or polished blue finish with gold plated controls for accent. You can get one dirt cheap from CDNN if you dont mind it being in 38 super.

If he gets it then neither of us are unique

Mikeythumbs 1 Posted June 6, 2012 damn those are way out of my price range, didnt want to spend more than $1000 Unfortunatly most guns that are engraved or special are going to run more than a grand. Buya nice normal gun for your first and maybe second till you find out what you like and what you are cOmfortable with then go for the all out crazy. What happens if you buy a custom .45 1911 send a few grand then realize you don't like the kick of .45 or can't stand the 1911 . You can sell it but you are more than Likley not going to get what you paid

Melgamatic 66 Posted June 6, 2012 damn those are way out of my price range, didnt want to spend more than $1000 You wanted a gold engraved gun, but didn't think you'd need to spend more than $1000? Desert Eagle's are frequently available in gold-plated finish, and they are pretty g-money dope.
JonF 79 Posted June 6, 2012 38 super Then this conversion barrel will work with your gun. 9mm and 38 super both have the same breech and both work with this conversion kit.
Sabeast 0 Posted June 7, 2012 I was looking at the desert eagle .44 or .50 nothing in stock around by me!

Sabeast 0 Posted June 7, 2012 Honestly - get a regular gun, get it refinished. that works, i was also looking at the kimber 1911 royal II.......i saw a taurus I liked but IDK too much about them?
BlueLineFish 615 Posted June 7, 2012 Caso just got in a 24k gold desert eagle for a customer. I want a gold one but not the 24k.
Sigman 41 Posted June 7, 2012 In all seriousness, get a "normal" gun that you like to shoot, then modify it or get one with more bling. A .50cal desert eagle isn't the most practical first handgun. Do you have much handgun experience? How many different calibers have you shot?

BlueLineFish 615 Posted June 7, 2012 It has to be ordered. The regular gold is good the 24 k is prone to flaking
Melgamatic 66 Posted June 7, 2012 I was looking at the desert eagle .44 or .50 nothing in stock around by me! They are around $1300...
BlueLineFish 615 Posted June 7, 2012 They are around $1300... Not for gold. Even black is more than that.
Sabeast 0 Posted June 8, 2012 At this point I'll get a black desert eagle. Kimber 1911 better than desert eagle? I saw a black desert eagle for $1529!
Krdshrk 3,878 Posted June 8, 2012 Here's the thing - it's your FIRST handgun - are you SURE you're ready for a Desert Eagle? Please don't make the decision because you think it's cool or neat looking - pick what's best for you - what feels good, can be controlled, etc.
