Stripers running anywhere yet?

Buddy of mine and I decided to take a last minute early-striper trip tonight. We went on the Sea Hawk out of Perth Amboy. SKUNKED!

 

Anyone else hit any good runs yet? I'll probably wait another week or two before trying again.

yeah my friend runs a charter boat, hes been catching them, he usualy runs open boat trips at about $125 per person, thats what i do rather be ina boat with 3 or 4 other people than a boat with 50 drunks tangling lines LOL ,,, if you want i can send you his info

I'm not a real big fan of striper fishing from party boats. You might have been better off along the ocean front, but surf fishing is a dicipline all to itself.

 

As far as them being around...they never left from the summer. Bait has been plentiful and thus so are the fish.

Capt joe work hard to get you on fish,, i've fished with him for everything from stripers to blackfish, to tuna, halways came home happy,, my kid got his 36 pound striper when he was only 10 few years ago,, only a few bucks more than a party boat but worth it in my opinion,,,

Striper is everywhere now. The problem is where to fish coz i was talking to an EPA guy at sewaren and he told me that the water is mess up by the storm, the sewer was open and most of our sh**s are floating. From CT to MD, but its only an advise, If we want to consume of catch and release
