Recon Racoon 49 Posted November 29, 2012 I don't know if they're shut down, but we had a pull and quarantine order for all our Tylenol stock. We get maybe a box or two in every couple weeks now, and its gone in under an hour.

Melgamatic 66 Posted November 29, 2012 That article was from June, 6 months ago. I actually bought Tylenol today! According to the Tylenol website, they are having supply chain issues but most products are available.
TheLugNutZ 21 Posted November 29, 2012 It was a QC issue

ruger9 0 Posted November 29, 2012 Ditto for Excedrin... because it has tylenol in it. I had the same problem finding excedrin, but this was a few months ago. So the supply STILL isn't equalling the demand? Really??
Malsua 1,422 Posted November 29, 2012 No one should be taking Tylenol anyway. Tylenol is the #1 cause of acute liver failure. If you drink at all, the risk is compounded.
Krdshrk 3,878 Posted November 29, 2012 I just get the store brand acetominophen anyway.
Qel Hoth 33 Posted November 29, 2012 No one should be taking Tylenol anyway. Tylenol is the #1 cause of acute liver failure. If you drink at all, the risk is compounded. Mainly because people are stupid and don't read what's in medicine they take. Tylenol is just fine if taken as directed. But if you take tylenol, and a cold medicine with acetominephin, and other medicines with it in it, you can easily exceed the safe dose.
Flipside 0 Posted November 29, 2012 I just get the store brand acetominophen anyway. This, if you are just buying the regular there is no reason to by name brand drugs.
MikeK77 8 Posted November 29, 2012 I buy store brand for most meds. If you look at the labels, most are the same. I did find that store brand nyquil is NOT the same as the real deal though. It usually missing 1 med
SgtToadette 59 Posted November 30, 2012 Much of Tylenol's product line is under recall. Where I work, the stock is very limited. Next time I work I'll see if I can take a picture of the recall notification we received.
71ragtopgoat 23 Posted November 30, 2012 Where is it made ? Still in the USA or are they making it in China now ?
SgtToadette 59 Posted November 30, 2012 I'm fairly certain it's in the US. I wouldn't think the FDA has jurisdiction if it were not the case.
StriderTB 10 Posted November 30, 2012 They have jurisdiction because it's sold here. Also, Excedrin is not a Tylenol or J&J brand. One of the larger issues was that the manufacturing facility in Fort Washington, PA was a mess. It's taking a while to get their act together, which is disappointing.
