NJdiverTony 27 Posted January 23, 2013 Nice! I've always loved S&W (I own a few S&W pistols that I absolutely love)... and this just makes me like them even more. Nice to see them stand up and support our 2A rights!
Damjan 73 Posted January 23, 2013 The only thing i have from Smith and Wesson is a sticker but i like that they took a stand.
TK421 2 Posted January 23, 2013 After the beating S&W's credibility took for signing that deal with Andrew Cuomo when he was Clinton's HUD Secretary back in 2000 they need to make sure they keep ahead of any storm and stay clear.

NJCK 5 Posted January 23, 2013 I'm waiting for the old man to make its position known - 197 years as the longest, continuous manufacturer (of anything) in the USA - Remington Arms Co. should let the world know exactly what it thinks of NYS and 2A... JonF 79 Posted January 23, 2013 Add Ruger to the list of companies to tell them to go pound sand. Ruger, S&W and Cabelas are 3 heavy hitters, financially speaking, in the firearms world and so perhaps that may have some sway.
O-gre 7 Posted January 23, 2013 Yes, buy the stock!!!
TK421 2 Posted January 23, 2013 I saw Eotech, Leupold, Trijicon, Thompson/Center, Redfield, Otis Technology, Benelli, Stoeger, Franchi and Federal Ammunition on the list and Looking at the remaining vendors left, it looks like it will be a Fudd-fest. I didn't see Remington Arms or or Colt listed on the vendor list but Savage and Mossberg are still listed on their site. With the high profile names that dropped out today I wonder if the NRA will pull-out. With over a week left before the show this should be fun to watch. CAWDORRDL1 0 Posted February 8, 2013 I was happy to hear that S&W has backed out of the show and others too. Savage did announce it on their website. I was visiting their site when I found the announcement. I own both Savage and S&W firearms and Fully Support their decision. http://savagearms.com/news/article/?id=aAfN3RaHT
Kaiser7 33 Posted February 8, 2013 Excellent! The combination of legal gun-owners, AND the manufactures in condemning attacks on 2A rights will really make a great statement. I'm glad they're doing this, and that so many companies are doing so. I'm not sure if anything similar happened in 1994, but it's good to see now. I may only own a S&W knife, but they've definitely earned my respect, and when I do finally get a revolver, I know who I'm going to buy from.
