"Any Senator or Congressman who votes for and any President who signs into law any legislation later deemed unconstitutional by the Supreme Court of the United States will be immediately removed from public office."

 

This would make our elected leaders more cautious when overstepping their authority.

I would fight to the end against such an amendment. There is no check against the judiciary.

Make it very clear that every amendment is an individual right not to be abridged. This way there is no ambiguity when it comes to the second amendment or any other.

The only thing I would change/add is something about showing proof of citizenship being required to vote. Maybe something about having a certain level of intelligence to vote.

I'd word the second amendment more clearly. Leave out the militia and specifically state that individual weapons suitable for infantry use are protected.

How bout a constitutional amendment reinforcing the right to keep and bear arms. Worded so there is no argument as to the right to own and carry firearms for defense. Bet you could get enough states to ratify....if you could get that far. Would be tough for many who claim to support gun rights to vote down. We would know exactly where they stand.
