I am torn between the Magnum Research Baby Eagle and Walther PPQ M2.

I held both today and they are roughly in the same price range. I really liked both alot. I have no striker-fired HG's so this open's a new door w/ the Walther.

I was hoping to get some feedback from other owners. I have read over the other threads comparing them to other pistols but never between the each other.

Vote and comment please, thanks!

PPQ, I have a first Gen with the paddle release(which I love).  I've had it since January, have 510rds though it and it has been flawless.  It is my first hand gun, lead me to an SR1911 and a 22/45.  In my hands its the most comfortable ergonomically, significantly less recoil than the .45 1911 and easier to work the controls (I can't get comfortable with the stretch to hit the mag release on the 1911 and I have normal size hands).  22/45 is fun, but I prefer a bit more oomph from the 9mm.  I've shot .40 Glocks and Sigs, none of them felt as comfortable to hold or pointed as easily for me.  I might take some heat for this, but aside from my out of the box tear down and cleaning I haven't cleaned a thing in those 510 consecutive rounds and its still smooth as buttah!!!!

I really liked my PPQ, but that trigger is awfully light for there not to be a manual safety. I would worry about holstering and unholstering. I know the same could be said for most striker fired guns, but this has the lightest trigger of any I have tried.

I have a PPQ Gen 1 and I love it. Easy to break down, and has a great trigger right out of the box. I prefer the paddle mag release to the button, but to each their own. Mags are pricey, but for the Gen 1 PPQ you can use Magnum Research Baby Eagle mags. Not sure if they're compatible with the Gen 2 pistols.

Yeah, I get that.  Personally I like the design and would use it as a carry gun.  Obviously its a little different for me since I can't carry everyday but I don't think it would be a problem.  I can manipulate the safeties, slide releases and mag drops on my guns even though they may be in different places without thinking.  I also have an exact replica of a p99 in pellet gun form.

No experience w/ Magnum Research, however I have a PPQ.  It is VERY accurate w/ perhaps the nicest trigger to be found on a stock striker fired pistol.  Mags are expensive.  I have the paddle mag release and vastly prefer this style.  Seriously wish there were more offerings w/ this type of mag release.
