Golf battery 1,223 Posted December 28, 2014 No no no and more no's. Match cancelled. A little 40 degree rain. Yup cancelled. Damn damn I was psyched up for this one.
Kingsoverqueens 10 Posted December 28, 2014 If you've ever shot USPSA in the rain you know it sucks. 3 gun USPSA in the rain must equal 3 times the suck.
Mr.Stu 1,922 Posted December 28, 2014 Damn, damn, double damn! I was really psyched for this. When are you likely to do a 3-gun again? Sent from my SCH-I800 using Tapatalk

Vlad G 345 Posted December 28, 2014 I was really psyched for this. When are you likely to do a 3-gun again? Sure, Jim/Dave will make the final call, but last year we had the same issue, only worse, we had to cancel matches in Dec, Jan, and Feb, and we just moved the 3gun match to the first match we had. I'm going to heavily lobby them to make the next OB match a 3gun match. We are aiming for doing more 3gun anyway. We used to do one match a year we are now aiming for 2-3 matches a year. alec.mc 180 Posted December 28, 2014 Ontelunee Rod in gun in New Tripoli PA still plans on running their USPSA match, I can't say for sure about walk ons though.
Kingsoverqueens 10 Posted December 28, 2014 I spent yesterday afternoon in the fields pheasant hunting with my son. While I was very eager to shoot this match (lots of preparation involved) If I'm to be honest I didn't mind sleeping a little late this morning and enjoying a leisurely breakfast. I wore my pedometer and clocked 2.25 miles in the field. For anyone who's done it, it's hard work...kinda like high stepping through the undergrowth and crap. Muscles = sore. Heavyopp 167 Posted December 28, 2014 I spent yesterday afternoon in the fields pheasant hunting with my son. Mike, how did you and Andrew make out? Start another thread if you don't want to hijack this one -- although this one is probably just about finished
Kingsoverqueens 10 Posted December 28, 2014 Didn't flush anything, but did see one on the road in the woods. I think it was taunting us. lol We've been out 4 times this season. The first time I flushed and shot one bird but we couldn't find it. Second time we flushed 3 birds; 2 at once and then Andrew flushed one in another field. I shot the trail bird in my double as the lead bird wasn't a good shot, and Andrew missed the bird he flushed. Funny story with that one. He was shooting my fathers old Sabala Spanish Side by and forgot that the he had to switch triggers for the second barrel to fire. He was making fun at himself for being a spaz "Why no boom?" The last two trips we haven't flushed anything but have seen birds on the road and stuff. It's been an enjoyable albeit physically demanding endeavor. Come home with sore muscles and legs and hands cutup from pricker bushed. We need better pants or chaps.
Pizza Bob 1,488 Posted December 28, 2014 We need better pants or chaps. ...and a dog.
Kingsoverqueens 10 Posted December 28, 2014 And a dog. Problem is that we aren't a "dog family" if you know what I mean. What I need to do is find a new best friend that has a dog. lol I was kidding a friend of mine who's got one. I invited him to join us, but what we really wanted was his dog. lol

Looking forward towards more 3gun at OB. I know there are several other clubs in the area that hold multi-gun matches, but OB is always nicer. Also for those that want to shoot USPSA, there is another club in PA that holds matches on the 4th Sunday as well if you are NOT into 3gun or 2gun. Even if the match was held I would not been able to attend. Leg still healing from an encounter with a MGM plate rack. I lost that round.
