mipafox 438 Posted May 29, 2015 Well then did you make that roux or bechemal? You said you had until 2000, it is now almost 22 of the next day. Did you use it or not? What doesn't kill you... But of course it only takes one thing to kill you after millions of things that don't kill you. No, I thought better of it. But I had problems the next day so maybe the taste got me anyway. I doubt it but who knows.
JohnnyB 4,326 Posted May 31, 2015 You realize of course, if the anti's ever saw this thread, they would have the ultimate proof that we gun owners are indeed nuts!!!!
DeerSlayer 241 Posted May 31, 2015 Anyone else ever buy milk in Canada, and they give you this? Weirdest packaging ever. Gotta pour it into a pitcher when you get it home.
Handyman 5,682 Posted May 31, 2015 I googled this, must live in Massachusetts. Damn. I could have made at least $3,383,000 too. In Massachusetts they can usually extract the stool sample from people's ears.
Worn_Holster 2 Posted June 1, 2015 I agree with the smell test, but spoiled dairy products are more likely to produce pathogens that could lead you to sickness. Can't you just go buy some more milk? BTW, if you are making a Béchamel, you will be bringing it to a boil, but it is more than a month expired, WTF are you thinking about? I hope you're not planning on feeding it to your kids... mipafox 438 Posted June 1, 2015 That depends. Is that what you call Cambodian girls in the basement?
Carcano 14 Posted June 3, 2015 I have whole milk with a Sell By date of April 23. I opened it around that time and used about 3 cups out of it. Now I need milk and this is all I have. I opened it and it has no smell. I might be able to distinguish it from fresh in a blindfolded test, but it doesn't actually smell sour. I want to use it to make a roux and a bechamel sauce. Will it kill me? BTW, if you are one of the people around here that want me dead, don't bother chiming in Worst case scenario you'll end up with explosive diarrhea, since you posted this in May it's probably too late to warn you. And no, I don't want you dead Mippa.
Newtonian 453 Posted June 4, 2015 Are you dead yet? The other day instead of milk or cream I used that same old home made yogurt I mentioned previously to moisten subsequently breaded pork chops. It's at least four months old. Nobody died but I think Mipa relapsed. Kind of like a gastronomic voodoo doll.
