Choke question

Are there any restrictions on chokes in NJ? I read somewhere that they were legal as long as they didn't extend beyond the muzzle. Ordinarily, I would find that hard to believe but this is NJ we're talking about!

I did a search for "are chokes legal in NJ" and some article came up. It wasn't clear if it was referring to NJ or an old article or what. I tried doing some more searching and couldn't find anything clear. I figured it was a crock but wanted verify it before I went out shooting.

Chokes are good to go on any shotgun. Where the gray area is that you probably saw was with semi autos and threaded barrels.

Sorry, I'm kind of a newbie to this. I just picked up a Franchi O/U where the chokes screw into the barrel and extend beyond the end of the muzzle. That's ok, right?

I will second that.  I have chokes that stick out past the muzzle and have never had an issue. WMA cops have seen me with them and have never said anything at all.
