MartyZ 692 Posted October 15, 2017 So, the SPR i built last year weighs about 11.4 lbs. I am very happy with the BA barrel and now they started making fluted barrels, and of course I would need a new muzzle brake and gas block. So what say the community, is shaving off 1.5 lbs worth tbe $500 for the new barrel+gas block+muzzle brake?

You're not marching through the sand box with it.

I didn't think it was worth it. Maybe if I ever start shooting 3 gun.

Scorpio64 5,155 Posted October 16, 2017 If you have $500 to burn, then it's worth it. Things are only worth what you are willing to pay. If you have the money, and it's what you want, then go for it.

Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk I know, but that is with the weight with a 3-12 scope and ADM mount. For 3 gun that optic would be swapped out as well

raz-0 1,259 Posted October 17, 2017 1.5 lbs can be worth $500. The difference between 11.5 pounds and 10 pounds is not. My $0.02.
