I’ve taken a few Northern Red Classes. They are intense. The physical skills they teach are excellent, but the best part of their classes are the lectures - nothing short of astounding. Their “Why we fight” lecture alone is worth the price of the class entire class. This is a great short “pep talk” by Zach on Training vs. Practice. Don’t get sucked into the images in the video. Think about the bigger picture and listen to the words - this isn’t just about CQB training, but can be applied to anything you want to learn, firearm related or not. • Practice makes permanent, not perfect. • Practice =/= Training and vice-versa. But they both have a significant impact in improving individual skill.

Spend the money on magazines and ammo and shoot the shit out of it. Take a class - Sights & Trigger is conducting a 1 day CCW class in Bethlehem PA next weekend. The best accessory for any handgun is a software upgrade.

Finally got to RTSP Union the other night and had a great time. I went with a friend who was a first time shooter and he was appreciative of the fact that the range officers seemed like they were there to help. I told him that it's not always like that at some ranges but these guys were very nice and helpful. The whole place is really impressive - the facility and the staff. My friend is looking to buy his first pistol and the person who helped him couldn't have been nicer. He was very thorough and patient which is exactly what somebody new to all of this really needs. Living in Edison, I've had to travel to Lakewood or Flemington or further for a public range until now. Having a range 20 minutes away is awesome. The handgun ports were a little small, but I'd rather have that (which allows room for more ports) than having to wait at a place with larger, but fewer, ports. Overall, RTSP Union was great and I'm looking forward to going back soon.

I agree with everything Pete said about with one note - The executor does not need to have an FID card BUT that stipulation is based upon the fact that they (He or She) is not a prohibited person. The OP said there was mental health issues in the past which could be cause to say the executor in not able to legally take possession? Also - there is no information as to where & when the transfer took place. IF they were transferred in another state and the OP brought them into NJ, they are legally his - jmo I would see a lawyer..........

There was no legal transfer of the firearms to you unless proper paperwork was done in NJ. The guns are part of your uncle's estate. AFAIK there is no need for an executor to have a FID to take possession of the firearms so they can be disposed of according to the will. That could mean dIstributing to heirs and/or selling them for cash to be distributed. If you refuse to turn them over to the executor that's pretty much like theft. There's no bsing anyone as the executor knows you have them. Whether the executors history of mental issues disqualifies them from discharging their duties in regards to the firearms is not for you to decide. I understand your concern. IANAL but IMO a lawyer will probably tell you to just turn the firearms over to the executor.

Men marry women hoping they will never change. Women marry men with the intent to change them. If you owned guns before you got married, then she married a gun owner. If she no longer trusts you to own guns and deems you too irresponsible, then your marriage is doomed. Buy a safe, lock up the guns and let that be that. If she presses the issue and says to you... "You decided guns are more important than me". Say, "no dear, you decided you cannot trust me, if you cannot trust me to protect you and our family, we don't have a marriage". It's that simple.

This calls for extreme measures. Hire someone to break into your house, tie up your wife, threaten to kill her, and steal something. Then let us know how she feels. Just kidding of course.

Flash Hider and Stock... 10 rnd mags Its a simple conversion.
  23. 1 point
Well, look at the actual features that it has. Collapsible stock, bayonet lug, flash hider. You can potentially pin the stock yourself. If you have a dremel you can dremel off a bayo lug (just hit it with some cold blue afterwards or a blue pen). Flash hider can be removed and replaced with a muzzle brake. Bring it somewhere to get pinned, or if you're a welder, drill a hole through the brake and into the threads on the barrel, drop in a pin and weld over the top. Where in NJ are you moving to? You could potentially just bring the upper to some place to get the compliance work done.

A little edging , Some mulch and some shrubs. And I'll be good to go. Just a plain old craftsman mower.

Broke the lawn tractor out, dropped the mower chassis, pulled out the blades and sharpened them all, put it all back and cleaned the mower, mowed the lawn, almost got stuck in the muddy area 2x and kicked up a ton of mud on the mower and had to wash it down again... then got the gas trimmer out and went to town.. Mower deck out: Dull Blades Before: After: 60 grit flap disc with the angle grinder does a phenomenal job. Went muddin...
