  1. Ok i'll bite. What substantiation do you have to make such a claim?
  2. A budget up to 1600 can buy you a lot of gun. Check out the Dan Wesson Valor.
  3. False. The phone service was no discontinued. The billing company and system changed but their is still a phone number, its just not working. The NICS checks are still being run by the state police examiners, we just switched to a different 3rd part billing company. The faxes are routed to a 609 NJSP number and the approvals are still being called back by the same NICS examiners. I fax multiple checks in a day, trust me I know haha. Steve, Paul?
  4. I am guilty of watching it. Its terrible, but funny at the same time.
  5. call east brunswick sportsman. One of the owners is a factory certified bmw tech.
  6. game time here too between ammo and maybe having to leave early.

  9. This is going to sound dickish and get me flamed but so be it. Today federal primers went on sale from a major online retailer. A bunch of the people who I shoot with started a group message and maxed out our orders as soon as it went up. I would be surprised if we did not buy the majority of what was available. Federal primers are a hugely hot commodity because it will run in just about any gun that has a trigger job unlike CCI's as well as WIN and REM. None of us plan to resell, just pad our own stock so we can still shoot at the same pace that we have been for the past 18 months. You can call us hoarders all you want, but its come to be as simple as this. You look out for yourself and your buddies. And before anyone complains about this being an insiders only thing, I also let people who weren't included in the conversation know, just because i knew they were searching for primers. If you need stuff let other people you shoot with know, they will look out for you. Everyone has a fair crack at whats out on the market. If you dont like the price, dont buy it. These same primers were going for $500 per thousand on gun broker. I wasn't going to pay that, but I sure as hell would mak my order out at a price point that I found acceptable.
  10. for pistol ammo, you're going to be there all day with the Lee. If you want to do pistol ammo in any sort of quantity you should look at one of the progressive presses. Dillon and Hornady both make a great press. As a side note, you are getting into reloading at quite possibly the worst time you could. Presses are back ordered a few months, power, primers and bullets are hard to come by, and the scrap brass price is high, so if you need to buy brass that will be expensive too.
  11. We need to know a little bit more about your reloading needs. Do you plan on loading pistol vs rifle? Do you need plinking ammo or match grade? Do you plan on reloading all of your ammo or just a little?
  12. Id bet the farm on him only neck sizing for the bolt action. The cases of the rounds you were shooting were actually fire formed to his chamber. If you reload for a semi auto it is important to full length resize all the brass.
  13. Smith & Wesson 627 is an 8 shot 357mag cut for moon clips. A great option for those who shoot a revolver better
  14. 100% I got the place where I work hooked up with their MidwestPX dealer account. When we pin a non compliant mag in house, it gets blocked, epoxied, and then goes in the drill press to be blind pinned. Ty's mags dont just have a hole drilled all the way through. The mag is blind pinned (the pin hole does not go all the way through) so you cant just beat the pin out. If you want to remove the pin you must drill it out. Depending on the pin placement mag to mag you can get it somewhere that if someone attempts to drill out the pin they ruin the lips that retain the bottom plate, rendering the mag body unusable.
  15. You need to keep this in mind. Private ranges tend to cater to a shooter who have a general knowledge of safety and pretty much knows what they are doing. Public ranges have rental guns going to people who have never shot before. Some of these people, we all know a few, get visited by the good idea fairy the second a camera comes out. This is a terrible combination.
  16. Besides the fact that your front sight appears to be backwards, you are more than likely going to have all kinds of issues. 1-MBUS sights are designed to be mounted at the same height. 2- If not mounted at the same hight, you wil have a hard time getting a zero, because the front sight post will need to make up the .48" of elevation. 3- Magpul MBUS sights are not meant to be mounted on the gas block. The high heat and polymer do not play nicely with one another.
  17. My opinion is completely opposed to that. We have already show, twice I might add, that as a community we are willing to pay just about anything for ammo. After the first Obama craze died down the price of ammo dropped slightly, but not nearly to the point that it was pre craze. I believe its going to be just like that again. It will go down again, but the days of 9.99 boxes of 9mm are long gone.
  18. Ty sells legal mags that are already pinned and assembled. The rebuild kits are ok in some states (iirc California) to make modified mags out of.
  19. Good seeing you stan. Ill hopefully have that gun in hand so i can show you next month.
  20. Apples to apples a 165 should travel faster than a 180. The chamber pressure is balanced by changing powder charge when you change bullet weight. Heavy bullets necessitate a lighter powder charge, and a lighter bullet can be pushed a little faster with more powder.
  21. How mechanically inclined are you? If it were me I would go with the balanced spring kit. If you dont mind my asking why do you want to change it? Alec and Pizza in 4.....3.....2....1........
