  1. 1 yes 2 no 3 no 4 https://www.nraila.org/articles/20150101/guide-to-the-interstate-transportation 5 no but it could be shipped to an FFL
  2. Last year oaks produced allot of acorns, add in a mild winter and its a recipe for a varmint explosion. There's going to be allot of fox and coyote come fall because there's so much food for this seasons offspring. Theres so many chipmunks and red squirrels up here its unbelievable. My hunting dog is catching chipmunks and bringing them to me almost every day.
  3. Except for people like me who hate to fly
  4. Not a project but ive been fishing allot lately. My wife is studying for her insurance brokers licenses so ive been able to get out in my evenings off of work and the trout and landlocked salmon have been on the bite. Last week I caught 6 decent brookies in one pool without even moving my feet!
  5. For long guns I just use 3m ear plugs from Home depot because muffs get in the way of my cheek weild. Handguns I have a set of the Howard leight ear muffs. I only wear eye pro when at a range that requires them. Just some cheap ones nothing special.
  6. I wasent implying it was illegal because they wont ship it to NJ just pointing it out incase you had not seen it. As JT pointed out there is nothing illegal about the upper itself. 1500 bucks is allot of dough for an upper especially since your still limited your still limited to 6 rounds. That's my opinion though.
  7. Says right in the link that they wont ship to NJ
  8. Get the ABC's of reloading in the most current edition and read it cover to cover. It will provide you with a really good introduction so you will realize what your getting into.
  9. No, you would not be breaking international law by having a firearm aboard a boat in international waters. Infact most boats that venture out that far have firearms on board. I was on a boat that was boarded by the coast guard in international waters in the Caribbean. They asked where the hins were stored and checked the compartmet, saw the cases but didn't even open them up. They checked everyone's paperwork and safety gear and were on their way in less than 30 mins. They told us to be careful because there was allot of cocane smuggling going on in the area we were in. No one gave 2 shits that we had guns on board
  10. 28" barrel and a modified choke is all you need for NJ small game hunting
  11. Mossberg 500 all the way, I've been killing clays, deer, hogs, birds and rabbits with the same one for 25 years now. I have a nice over under for fair weather hunting but I still rely on my good old 500 for all the bad weather days. Its beat up, a little rusty and I've carried it so much the checkering is worn off the pistol grip but it still shoots straight if i do my part
  12. Yeah, luckily I've never been hungry enough either.
  13. I've been buying Goya products as long as I've been food shopping for my self. Ive always considered their products superior to other brands especially the store brands
  14. Many trucks up here have even larger Bambi bumpers on them because of the moose
  15. I just use chunks of cuda to catch Amber jacks on the reef to use for shark bait. The skin on cudas is really tough so it stays on the hook while all the small reef fish pick at it. For survival though I think I'd rather eat a cuda than An MRE lol
  16. Barf! I hope they were young Cuda, the older ones are full of mercury. They are the reefs vacume cleaners and eat all the dead and dieing stuff. Edit- its ciguatera fish poisoning not the mercury.
  17. I just came here to say the same thing!
  18. Are you sure they were checking for access permits? While acess permits would be a new thing im not aware of for years during the summer months theh would have someone posted up at the entrance checking for all the proper safety gear and boat licenses and im more recent years checking for invasive plant species. I grew up on Allerton rd and fished RV allot. If the boat launch is closed personally I'd still be out in a kayak, dont need a boat launch for them.
  19. Yeah like there gonna keep all the dog walking Karen's out of ken Lockwood gorge
  20. I agree 100% one can hunt almost any animal in North America with a 12g pump shotgun. They are by far the most versatile hunting gun
  21. I agree, not much of a punch either
  22. My daughter spent 17 days in the NICU after she was born. Im very thankful that a member of this forum warned me to keep a close eye on the bills. Good thing I did because sure enough they tried to double bill for several different things. Even after I called them out on it they tried it again.
