Thanks. Where does one find this? I never get anything useful like this emailed. Same for range closures for hunting license classes, would be helpful if they would actually tell you stuff like this so one can plan things.

I, reference x, undertake that I have responded to this questionnaire truthfully and to the best of my knowledge about the applicant. If there is more, I didn't screenshot it, and I cropped out parts with names obviously, but don't remember any "penalties" mentioned.

Coincidentally, the attached screenshots were for a pistol permit for a Bloomfield resident. In years past, when I was also a reference, I got a form letter very similar to the above pictured reference letter, though I do not remember the SSN/DL requirements. In addition to that letter, I got a phone interview. I was told the permits were already issued for this batch, so it was less than 15 days, and I never was mailed or phoned for anything (again, pistol permits, not carry permit)

Had one for at least a year so far. OWB, 9oclock ish. Fits around my super thick Hanks belt, my old blackhawk did not. I currently use it for a glock 23 mag. Retention is good, worn doing yard work and other tasks, mag has never unintentionally come out, yet draw is smooth. Their gun holster is plenty comfortable. The mag holster is fine, but the mag itself is more prone to digging into my side and that has been the least comfortable thing about carrying at home, to be honest. Im sure I have tried it IWB but dont recall how it felt, but seeing how I dont carry that way, probably not ideal. OWB it does stick out a bit, though would be hard to get any narrower for a universal double stack reversable holder. I have had to tighten a screw on one of their products, so check every few months, but hardly a big deal. I'd buy it again. I will also have to give it another try iwb.

I've never bought pants for accommodating a IWB holster at 4 o'clock, and all but the very tightest old pants (that are at least a size too small for me now) will still comfortably allow me to carry IWB. Apparently since no one involved in manufacturing pants knows what that pesky "inches" 'standard' is, they just guess at sizes. (34? 40? What's the difference?) As long as you err on the larger size for anything that is borderline fitting how you prefer, you might be fine. You may feel differently, and perhaps a different holster would change my opinion, but my normal size pants allow an Amberide IWB holster for a Glock 23 (no weaponlight) and an IWB holster for a Kimber Pepperblaster. I do tend to prefer my belt tight, so take that into account. I just removed the holster and slid my hand down to my knuckles in its place. Your gun/holster may be different, but if you can sit, stand, crouch, and lean while doing the same, without it being excessively tight, that may be enough room. I honestly don't notice the G23 much of the time. YMMV

I've carried IWB at 4 oclock for at least a year at home with a G23 in a cheap single clip Amberide holster. I dunno if your holster has adjustable cant, but if so, see if there is a more comfortable position, I prefer a more angled cant when possible. Also, I dunno how tight your belt may be, but if you loosen it, it may help by allowing just enough flex without being too loose. Also experiment with position, honestly half an inch difference may be way more comfortable. Seeing how I am home, printing has been less an issue so far. I may have to rethink the other things I carry on my belt, which likely do affect printing and pulling up the shirt, like my phone, leatherman, and kimber pepperblaster, all are carried from my 3 to 6 oclock. I know the kimber gets exposed sometimes in public, so I gotta figure out something better. I'm also tall, so I may need to start getting longer shirts that may be less likely to ride up when sitting.

Yeah, too dark was most common reason I saw photos that were rejected. Some that people showed me looked like they were taken in a room lit with one dim bulb. If the white background could be called anything darker than extremely light grey, take it again. Ideally (for a passport), background should be 100% washed out white. It sounds like the photos for a carry permit have a little more loose standards, but evenly lit is still important. If going somewhere to take em - make sure to specify the photos are 1.5"x1.5" - this is NOT US passport sized (2x2"). Usually we used software that superimposed a guide over the photo to get correct US passport photo head dimensions, but the RPO photos I have done were a bit of a guessing game.

Incident itself happened in 2015 Can't say this would be the outcome for everyone, but I can assure you this is actually what happened and not "...my cousin's friend's father's barber said..." "I used to carry an (unloaded) shotgun in my trunk at (almost) all times. When I was in an accident (some kid ran a red light at 10PM a few days before Labor Day, nowhere near a range for that matter), the cop asked me something about the rifle case once. He then proceeded to call it "THE ITEM" the entire rest of my interactions with him. No asking for FID. No asking to see it. No asking anything at all about it, honestly. He was more concerned with it being secured than anything else. Him constantly talking about THE ITEM was one of the only funny things about that night..."

Some post offices used to do them. Dunno how common it was/is. I know AAA offices have done them too, not sure if that is still offered. Some camera shops may, one I worked at years ago did before closing down. If taking photos yourself, you typically want a clean, bare white background, and both the background and your face should be free of heavy shadows with clean, even lighting. This usually involves multiple lights when done professionally, and you should be at least 2-3 feet away from the background. If you can crop/edit the photo to a correct size and have access to a paper cutter, a glossy 4x6 printed almost anywhere will be cheap. If you can't do basic photo editing/cropping, you are better off going where someone does this all the time. I have seen the photos taken at some places or by individuals and I would be surprised if they passed. A few I know were rejected (for passports).

On the subject of belts, for the past few years, I have been wearing a Hanks 21oz steel core belt every day. It is a *thick* belt (0.37"), thick enough some old hard mag holsters will not fit on it. The belt itself is sturdy as hell. Just be sure to read sizing instructions. I have been CCing a G23 IWB in a cheap Amberide holster at home for at least a year and usually don't even notice it on me. Prior to that, I wore 5.11 belts with a permastiff insert, and they were pretty good, multiple ones lasted 5+ years while carrying a decent amount of stuff on the belt and in my pockets every day. My personal thoughts on carry are based on what I own and current qualification requirements. My first thoughts are my Glock 23 Gen4 or Ruger LC9S pro. I have a Sig Pro 2022 I might consider too. I told myself I wouldn't get another handgun while in Jersey, but a Sig 365 (XL?) may eventually become a go-to. If we get standard cap mags back, perhaps I'd go something bigger/higher capacity, but a Glock23 is a good size for me and I don't think I'd wanna go much larger without a good reason. How does one usually carry spare mags for CC? Around the house, I have a 2nd mag OWB on my weak side in a hard-sided holster, but there has to be a better way for CCing in public.

I've had a cheap fly rod for probably 25+ years, but first fish I ever caught on it was only in the last 2 or 3. Granted, I basically stopped fishing for 18 or so years in the middle, and when I was young, there were few places I could get to that were really appropriate for fly fishing, so I hardly used it. I tied my own flies for a while when I was young, and lately have taken up making my own spinners. There is significantly more satisfaction catching fish on a lure you made yourself, and hearing stories from friends catching fish on your lures too. Knots, I mostly use what I believe is called the improved (or) enhanced clinch knot. Really simple and holds very well. I used to use the Rapala knot for everything, but it is more complicated and just creates a loop. I do gotta do better leader<->line knot for the fly rod next time I put new leader on. Good luck

Dunno, but perhaps they are using 15% ethanol while other places may still be 10%? You know, to "save us money" while ruining older cars and small engines (coincidentally, replacing/repairing an old car or power equipment costs a lot more than that 5% ethanol "saves" us on gas prices at the pump.) Multipe manuals specify to never run over 10% ethanol. I dunno if they are trying to prevent E85 use, or saying 5+% more ethanol could/will damage something. But I was pissed at yet another fuckup by this administration, which was barely news when announced, that will affect the poorest people who cannot afford a newer car, or those who love their old car, and could damage lots of small engines, all "coincidentally" during a push to electrify everything. How we do that to a generator is beyond me, but clearly they are smarter than all of us and know best.

But I'd bet it would have more of an effect than any bullshit law proposal that comes out. I mean, Murphy still has a hard-on for .50s, cause we hear of so many $10k guns used in crimes daily in NJ.

My experience with Winchester rimfire ammo is to avoid it at all costs. Even my bolt guns and lever action won't reliably fire that stuff. Multiple guns, action types, even different calibers, I have never had so many problems consistently as with Winchester rimfire ammos. Perhaps I just have had the shittiest of luck among many different types and lots of ammo from them, but I have experienced multiple failure to fires per mag (requiring 2-3 restrikes) (.22lr and .17hmr) and split case necks (.17hmr only) constantly. I would run the dreaded Thunderbolts over any Winchester rimfire any day. My S&W 22A actually loves Golden Bullets. I'd say buy what ammo you can find, if this gun doesn't like it, buy more guns until you find one that does. Aguila, been happy with their ammos, but avoid their Stinger -equivalent (1700ish fps) rounds, might cause issues, believe they too are longer cases than standard. May beat up the gun a bit, too. Federal is usually good to very good for their true gold medal target/match ammos. Automatch is usually available and reliable and is a go-to for me. Remington makes some really cheap dirty ammo, but my guns tend to run em just fine anyway, so give em a try. Never tried browning ammo. CCI is almost always a good bet, except maybe Stingers. enjoy the new toy!

Everbilt #4-#6 x 7/8 inch yellow plastic ribbed anchors. Got a pack of 150 a year or two ago, they compress when struck, but havent had any shatter/break (like I have had with legit .22 plastic snap caps). I use em primarily in bolt guns for storage, so not doing a lot of strikes, but with rotation i can get 4+ uses outta each one. Have fed em from mags too. I read somewhere there may be a change in something with current production ones, so may wanna opt for a small pack or at least look em over that they'll still work before going bulk.

All actions closed, depends on gun if it is stored cocked or not. Never use flags. Usually with a mag inserted, more so i cannot forget at least one mag for a range trip

Almost every app has permissions you can give or revoke and has been a thing for years on androids. Might not have been notifications in the past, but I get notifications if an app updates and wants new permissions. Settings > Apps, or simply long press the icon and go to App Info Look for permissions. Some apps may require things, and won't work without them. Sometimes with good reason, sometimes cause they just wanna mine data. A flashlight has no reason to need location, contacts, and microphone. Waze kinda needs GPS to work... And very few non-critical apps need notifications IMO. I have always gone through the phone the first days i have it, uninstalling as much as I can that I will never use, as well as both customizing it and locking it down as much as I can without rooting. Also, change things like an always on screen and other stupid settings designed to drain the battery. The number of people who don't take the time to do this always amazes me, despite hearing constantly how they talked to someone in person about X, and facebook immediately starts showing ads for X, or their constant need to be at an outlet. It takes an hour, maybe 2-3 if you have to look up a lot of settings online, for a device you probably will use countless hours over years. If you add a new app, make sure to check/restrict it too.
