CZ75b magazine question

I went to Cheyenne mountain outfitters today for ammo. I saw that they had a wall of magazines. I asked the guy behind the counter for a cz75b mag, which he said they did not have. He handed me a EAA witness mag and said it would work. It was used so it came in a plastic baggie. While waiting to check out I opened it and the magazine said 40sw. So I took it back and said it was mislabeled. He looked kinda annoyed and said, well we don't have any. I saw that they had cz85 mags and asked if that would work and he said no It would not. So I looked online and the czusa website says cz75 mags are interchangeable with the cz85 mags. My question is does it matter that my gun is a cz75B? Will it still be interchangeable?

Order some 15 rounders from cz's website and you don't have to worry about anything. :mrgreen:

EAA Witness mags will fit and function, however, I've had less than stellar reliability when using them - I've experienced double feeds whereas with the CZ factory mags, I've had perfect reliability. I eventually ended up getting rid of the EAA mags and got myself a set of 15 round ProMags and replaced the magazine spring with extra power Wolff springs. With this setup, I've had 100% reliability thus far. I got them for $15 / piece online a few months back + the cost of the Wolff Mag spring pack (about $9.95 for 3 springs). I am assuming you have 9mm, the 40 s&w mag would work, their the same mag.

yep, i have 2 9mm mags for my 41AE baby eagle, which is a cz clone.here are 2 short avi files of mag.

Do the 40S&W mags have that little indent on the sides of the mag to limit capacity? If not then you may be able to get 16rds of 9mm in there.
