Is .45 ACP Difficult to Find?

Recommended Posts

Went to a car show in PA this week so while I was there I also checked out some 45 ACP ammo. Wally had a 250 UMC bulk pack of 45 acp for $84.97 + tax sadly they only had one box left. Funny thing was all the people buying ammo were from NJ !!!

Cabela's had tons of every caliber in stock. Brands that were out of stock in 45 ACP were federal AE and WWB. All other brands were plentiful though.

some items availble were a MFS Bulk pack of 300 rds in a storage case for$129.99 and some sellier & bellot for $21.99 a box. Not cheap by any means but available . I think the drought is ending.

I sure am glad I bought enough for a lifetime of shooting at an auction for 150 last year. All 1942-1944 military. I recommend if you find it cheap stack it deep.

A guy at the bowling pin shoot last weekend had a heck of a time with some circa '52 surplus ammo. It wouldn't fire, wouldn't load, wouldn't eject, etc. At least one misfire, FTE, FTL, etc, in each magazine. Maybe you could make it better by tumbling first.

I'm still a fan of driving to Wallmart in PA and getting the UMC Bulk Packs of 250 for under $100. If your up for the drive it's worth it.

Wheres the Walmart in PA? Which store Location?

I going to go out on a limb and guess www.walmart.com for the store locator. Need help driving there?
