StephanieSeven 70 Posted November 16, 2010 Bladetech DOH is not legal. You can change it to on-belt-loop and it will be legal. If I go on Sunday and you want to use a SERPA for your Glock, you can borrow mine. That the Blackhawk?
Guest HuntingPaper Posted November 16, 2010 I have to see if my BladeTech DOH holster is legal. Doubt it. Looks like my Safariland is though so I may use the Beretta instead of the Glock. The DOH in your holster is an extra part of hardware you can unscrew it an place it higher. Which belt attachment do you have? Tek-Lok? i can bring the loop attachment or a blackhawk paddle holster for your G17.

Krdshrk 3,878 Posted November 16, 2010 That the Blackhawk? Yep Blackhawk SERPA. Fits Glock 17/19's. It's on a belt loop adapter as well.
Pew Pew Plates 358 Posted November 16, 2010 alot of things that arent legal ARE legal for woman, steph. SERPAs are good to go, so is IWB. Last time I used pocket for mags and my IWB holster
MrP 81 Posted November 16, 2010 alot of things that arent legal ARE legal for woman, steph. SERPAs are good to go, so is IWB. Last time I used pocket for mags and my IWB holster Yeah I would very much like to participate but I don't own a holster for my 226. Does anyone know of a place I could pick one up in the Somerset County area? If not I'll try and order online and hope for fast shipping. I checked the rulebook and pocketing the mags seems legal, so I'm only out a holster.
Ryan626 5 Posted November 16, 2010 is this holster/mag pouch combo ok? That looks like the one I bought from Bladetech. It does says IDPA pak. Here's the link: http://www.blade-tech.com/Competition-Series-Products-c-329.html I bought this one to try out when I'm ready for USPSA so hopefully it is legal for USPSA as well. Krdshrk 3,878 Posted November 16, 2010 It should be legal for USPSA as well. MrP - I'd offer if I had a P226 holster. Right now I just use a generic holster for my airsoft P226.
Maksim 1,504 Posted November 16, 2010 Who says you cant CCW a 2011 with a large magwell and a 170mm mag? =) Would love to try IDPA, but spending my birthday in AC instead.... or so it looks like. Nevermind, saw it was the 21'st, not the 20th. Would love to try IDPA, but will be stuck on the Belt Parkway driving Anastasia to JFK.

Ryan626 5 Posted November 17, 2010 I've never done any sort of competition shooting. I am a newbie to guns in general. I really do want to try something but I will admit, I'm a little nervous. Should I try practice matches first before jumping in? I just don't want to make a fool of myself! Let me know what you think I should do. Thanks. StephanieSeven 70 Posted November 17, 2010 Thanks Nick! I am leaning towards trying since I have nothing to do sunday. Will try to hit the range tomorrow and decide by friday. I'm with Nick. Come try it. What's the worst case scenario? You're a new shooter and don't finish first? It'll be fun.

Antonio 0 Posted November 17, 2010 I haven't shot in an IDPA match in a couple of years so I'll try to make it. If you're new to IDPA don't worry at all. Just think of it as a day of shooting with your friends. What could be better than that? I know you're going to have a great time!
Krdshrk 3,878 Posted November 17, 2010 Yeah that's the address, Ryan. It's right after the 1 lane railroad bridge so be careful there.
