theRU 33 Posted November 29, 2010 I have to disagree. I've had a few clients over the years. Complete douchebags. Got exactly what they wanted so we could get them to go the hell away. Steph, I want a WWII garand in mint/near mint condition , all for under $500. I will not stop badgering you until you give in to my demands.

tony357 386 Posted November 29, 2010 Brick is a good place to shoot, but a very lousy place to purchase from.. sometimes their morals are not so good either while at the range..just keep bugging phil sooner or later he will remember to put your order in..
AKA0314 0 Posted November 30, 2010 Send me via PM your name and I will fwd it to phil. As far as attitudes... guys, if you want something... you cant act like a douche... whether the recipient deserves it or not. Personally I enjoy shooting there, like many people, however unless it is on the shelf... I am leery. Thank you for the offer. Much appreciated. I called again today and the shot gun was in. Apparently they forgot to tell us it was there. The sig is "right behind" it. So we'll see. We do really like shooting there so we'll continue to go...live and learn on the purchasing part. Pizza Bob 1,488 Posted November 30, 2010 Let Steph alone. Back on topic here... Here's a business that lies in wait for the uninformed neophyte and then takes every advantage they can. We have seen it over and over again. We all know that their cash-flow problems lead to this kind of treatment. I am at a total loss as to why informed forum members continue to patronize this business. Especially in the face of their stated dislike of said members. Maks, you're right, once the deal is done, you don't want to antagonize, but why further their bad behavior by patronizing the business and giving them a voice on this forum. If ever there was an entity crying out for the "ban-hammer" this is it. I don't care how much I enjoy a particular activity, I'm not going where I, and my peers, are abused and scammed and BA has a demonstrable history of that type of behavior. I'd rather be inconvenienced than to give my money to someone that treats me the way BA treats their patrons. When I get mistreated, I vote with my wallet. Adios, Pizza Bob
bry@n 195 Posted November 30, 2010 j0n, I'm not sure I would say one of the guys. There aren't many guys with boobs and a vagina. Steph, Damn near lost my coffee. You went ole school with some Tone Loc.
tommy3rd 132 Posted November 30, 2010 When I get mistreated, I vote with my wallet. That's how I see it. Even if it doesn't matter to them or it doesn't affect them, it will still make ME feel good, like I'm stickin it to them.
StephanieSeven 70 Posted November 30, 2010 Hear hear Pizza Bob! I just do not get it. Don't get it. Makes ZERO sense to me that people go there.
theRU 33 Posted November 30, 2010 Hear hear Pizza Bob! I just do not get it. Don't get it. Makes ZERO sense to me that people go there. Already paid for my membership, they dont get any additional business from me. In fact if i stopped going i would be helping them because they wouldnt have to pay to dispose of all my lead. Will i renew? Nope...i'll be at old bridge if i'm still in jersey at that point.

Same here. After this whole ordeal I wish I didn't already purchase a membership, but since I did I'll continue to go until my membership expires, but I won't renew and won't spend anymore money there. SpecialK 193 Posted November 30, 2010 That's how I see it. Even if it doesn't matter to them or it doesn't affect them, it will still make ME feel good, like I'm stickin it to them. It does affect them. I shot there once a while back with a few of you guys before I was living here. After reading all the reviews on here I would never deal with them, nor would I suggest them to the 6 people I have convinced to get their FPID's since I have moved here. I know in this state that the more shooting ranges the better, but we shouldn't settle for sub-par service.
StephanieSeven 70 Posted November 30, 2010 FNG and AKA0314... if you want a change of scenery I'll guest you in to Shore Shot some time. Not a problem. I get it though when you already have a membership. Makes sense.
StephanieSeven 70 Posted November 30, 2010 By the way, AKA0314, how did you make out yesterday? You didn't buy a Kimber did you? I heard BA came into SS last night to buy a Kimber for a customer that bought one and BA never ordered it.
kenw 293 Posted November 30, 2010 Same here. After this whole ordeal I wish I didn't already purchase a membership, but since I did I'll continue to go until my membership expires, but I won't renew and won't spend anymore money there. I just have a quick question that's just a bit off topic... What research did you do prior to committing to BA for your purchase? I'm assuming that you did that before coming to the forum and learning about this community of helpful and sharing gun owners, and I'm wondering if you had come here first, would you still have followed the same course? What kind of outreach can we as a group make to people like you, who aren't aware that NJGF and other groups exist and are about to just get involved in guns and shooting in NJ? I heard BA came into SS last night to buy a Kimber for a customer that bought one and BA never ordered it. Thanks for the offer about sure shot. Picked up the shotgun yesterday. They said it came in last week, but forgot to call. The other is "right behind it" according to them so we'll see. No, it's a Sig I'm waiting for now, but it sounds like I'm not the only one going through this with them now. I'm sure the employees there who have nothing to do with the ordering love getting calls everyday from pissed off people looking for guns they bought. My wife had purchased a glock from them. Since it was in stock we had no issues. As I said, we had shot there and really liked the staff. Had I found this forum prior to placing my orders with them I definitely would NOT have bought through them and probably wouldn't have become a member either. As far as outreach I don't have any ideas off hand, but I can tell you I wish that I had found this forrum months ago. I've done a lot of research on the internet while applying for my permit (I was originally denied and went through an appeal)and would have loved some advice from everyone here while going through that process.
