acaixguard 37 Posted May 5, 2011 Hello, glad to have found this forum. I'm a Morris county shooter, and have been into firearms for about 12 years now. I used to shoot a lot at Ray's Sport Shop until they closed down. Since that happened, and since having kids, I haven't had much time to shoot in the past two years. I'm looking to slowly get back into it. Anyhow, just wanted to say hi, and also, find out what ranges are good around Morris County. I mostly shoot pistols. Thanks! Krdshrk 3,878 Posted May 5, 2011 Welcome. You could join Somerset County Fish & Game or Cherry Ridge. Not sure which one is closer to you.

acaixguard 37 Posted May 5, 2011 Thanks for the welcomes! Doesn't Somerset County Fish require a reference from a current member? I don't know anyone who is currently a member there now unfortunately. Plus, if there are mandatory hours you have to put in, that may be tough too. I've gone to Bullet Hole a few times, but the last time I went on a weekend, it was way too crowded. Any feedback/info about the Bayonne range?
Shocker 151 Posted May 5, 2011 Welcome. I don't live in Morris County but I work here Depending where you are there's Cherry Ridge, Somerset, Shongum, and the ranges nearer to NYC. Doesn't Somerset County Fish require a reference from a current member? No. And work days are only required the first year. After that they get you $$ off dues but they're not required. Any feedback/info about the Bayonne range? $45 per year with a work day; $90 without a work day, I believe. The applicant must be sponsored by a member in good standing.
