As a representative of NJ's LEADING Gun Violence Prevention Organization, I am deeply, deeply disappointed with the NJ Senate confirming a corporate sponsor of the gun lobby who will stop at nothing till our communities are soaked with Guns.

This confirmation puts our families at risk, our children, our schools, our communities, and our valuable first responders at risk, just to increase the profits for the Gun Manufactures.

Gotta love Miller. He's nothing if not consistent.

Wrong, but consistent

Behind the curve, but consistent

Single-minded and fanatic, but consistent

Out of touch with political reality, but consistent.

Sweeney playing politics? Only because Christie did first by not reappointing Justice Wallace.

You've got to be kidding. Playing politics by not reappointing, for life, one of many of these asshats that have no regard for the law, for the State Constitution? I guess you don't mind paying the highest taxes in the country because of some of the things the court has done?

That's if you pay taxes.

That guy isn't Bryan Miller. He's just a troll posing as Miller. He first started posting praising BM (pun intended), then he started posing as him when he was being ignored.

Remember, don't feed the trolls. :hysteric:

If you think Christie is playing politics why isn't Peter Venerio a NJ supreme court justice now? Yes, I know he resigned, but only after the Dems forced him to by telling him he wasn't going to be reappointed after his 7 years was up, they said he was too conservative for NJ. :sarcastichand:

The NJ supreme court is a bunch of liberal activist judges hell bent on imposing a populist agenda on our state, they all need to go, and Christie can replace 4 of them.

You really think that Christie wasn't playing politics? C'mon man, that's all any of them do! It's ALL about imposing your parties agenda on the populus when you can.

There's playing politics and there's trying to get the state back in order. Sweeney was playing politics by making the senate not confirm Anne Patterson until the previous Judge's term would have been up. Appointing people to the supreme court is the governor's job. So he chose someone else - how is that playing politics?

Yeah maybe Christie will choose Justices that are as staunchly pro-gun rights as his Attorney General.... Oh, Wait :icon_rolleyes:

Sure, but Sweeney has a pure political strategy here too, If he let Christie's candidate get on when she was first nominated, her 7 year reappointment would come in Christie's presumed second term. If Sweeney waits the two years to fill that seat, Christie will definitely be out when her reappointment comes up, and odds are a Dem will be in to block her reappointment and put some other activist douche in her place.

Don't forget, Sweeney has Gubernatorial ambitions himself...... why do you think he pushed so hard for the pension reform?.... because he knows it will play well with the voting majority.
