Hearing on HR 822

Recommended Posts

I like Comm Ramsey as a person. He's a nice guy. Ive protected the same Phila Mayor he has. But his constant reasoning in this hearing it seems to me is elitist. 1. Only trained or 'special people' should, could, can, and have a CCW. 2. The public at large CANNOT be trusted with 'special people' implements like guns. 3. 'Special people' who have "extensive training" are 'special' and really 'deserve' these rights and priviledges, again because they are of a better breed and higher stature. 4. These 'specially trained', 'special persons' are the only ones that should really be depended on to protect you because of some perceived god-like ominiscience and omnipresence. Maybe one should even begin to 'worship' them, like back in the "Old-OLD Days". But for now, contributing to their extremely high pensions, Cadillac Health Care, etc via the taxpayer, will suffice over blood sacrifice. Hey, these are Special People and deserve 'special' privileges and immunities that the taxpaying public, better be able to afford.

I am highly trained and qualify 4-5 times per year. I have seen "specially trained" 'special people' who couldnt shoot for **** and I avoid being next to their lane as they sometimes hit my target and sku my score. Which I hate since Im a (shooting) trophies holder and people are lookin at me under a microscope as a result. Personally, I am TIRED of carrying, I RARELY go shoot anymore on my own and have logged THOUSANDS of working 'man-hours' "carrying" including "highly sensitive places" which I was in during work.

This specialised elitism we see during CCW and "gun" debates, to me reveal how we as a country will turn into Syria or Uganda or Venezuala with a highly centralised gov't with a top down dictator. This is what is most insidious to me in these type of debates. Its not about guns. Just insert "automobiles" where you have the 'G' word or "C" word...

I weep for the future.

Its over already. Sounds like even if it passes, it will not help NJ.

Ha, yea, then you will see the NJ Residents trying to blend in with all the rest of the country who come to visit our state who can carry get jacked up because they live here.. :icon_rolleyes: :icon_rolleyes:
