Do manufacturers stand behind ammo?

I had a box of federal .40 yesterday that was horrible. Almost half were duds. Do companies stand behind em or am I screwed?

I know Cabelas won't take ammo back but will give you a store credit .

I had 1000 rounds 90% was FTF, Cabelas gave me a store credit for the ammo.

If you got them local take them back.

It may be the picture but some of the primer strikes look a little light.

The next box shot flawlessly. This is the only box of federal I've ever had a problem with.

From the phone, looks like light strikes. What gun was this out of? A glock with a trigger job? M&p with a trigger job?

I see a number of light primer strikes. Maybe the case was trimmed too much or something. Did you measure the cartridges?

Primers may not have been fully seated. Hammer strike seats them properly but prevents them from igniting.

Did you try these rounds a second time? Or, pull the trigger twice when they failed to fire on the first pull? All of those shown look like light primer strikes. Do you have another .40 you could try them in? I'll bet that in another gun, they'll go bang every time, and if they do then Federal will give you squat and you'll be out the shipping. Try them in another gun - yours or someone else on the forum.
