Rifleman1 32 Posted January 2, 2012 I tried to pick up a case of Gun Club Loads at East Brunswick and they had none in stock so I picked up some UMC 9mm while I was there. The Sportsmans Guide price for Gun Club Loads is 6.43 versus 6.39 at Dick's with NJ Tax and the costs to get there so I'll order a couple of cases online. Krdshrk 3,878 Posted January 2, 2012 Why buy the gun club loads when the Federal ones are cheaper?
Rifleman1 32 Posted January 2, 2012 I was comparing the pricing for the same brand. I will probably buy their Federal's at 6.15 per 25.
Rifleman1 32 Posted January 2, 2012 The Sportsmans Guide price for Gun Club Loads are on sale through 1/5/12 for 5.86 per 25.
NJCK 5 Posted January 2, 2012 May want to check around some of the Dick's stores. A buddy and I stepped into two different stores, on two different days, and when at the range this morning laughed at each other as we both had pink shells! Federal has the "pink box" special edition of target loads in support of breast cancer research. They were on store special for $49.95/case if you bought the full case. I'm man enough to shoot target loads with pink shells so I bought two cases!
XDJohnTact 49 Posted January 2, 2012 May I ask which Dick's you found this at? i was in Toms River yesterday and did not see them, but I just went for pistol/rifle ammo so I might have just missed it?
NJCK 5 Posted January 2, 2012 I was shopping in the Wilmington, DE, store and found them last week. Buddy found them in Toms River Christmas Eve.

NJKen 23 Posted January 8, 2012 Stay away from the federal ones. They will give you the pink breast cancer awareness shells. And no, Im not kidding! Those dam things jammed repeatedly in 3 different 870's. Ive never seen anything jam an 870 like they did and it was 3 seperate guns. They where dirty as hell too Ken
MikeK77 8 Posted January 8, 2012 i try to jump on those Gun Club Loads for $5 when they have it....guess I missed this sale.
Krdshrk 3,878 Posted January 8, 2012 Not necessarily - that's their normal "Sale" price. Tomorrow will probably have them on sale again.
99ways2die 3 Posted January 9, 2012 Who cleaned out all the Federal shells over @ the East Brunswick store?? Now I have to clean out their Rem supply again.

Also, you must have something wrong with your shotguns or got a bad run of shells. I have put a TON of this ammo through both a gas-operated semi-auto and multiple 870s without a single hiccup. I bought a few cases of the pink shells when Cabelas had them on sale cheap, (had a gift card) probably shot 200 of them thru a Winchester speed pump, Stoeger Semi, and my Browning Centori, never had one issue either.. I broke mine out at a work event and made some of my big burly mechanics shoot clay with them, it was funny.. Plus, it was for the boobies..
JaredC 6 Posted January 9, 2012 had some problems with federal target load.....2 slight jams in my stevens pump.... 2 slight jams in my 870... 3 slight jams in my buddys stoger semi auto.... probably just got a bad bunch....
M4BGRINGO 139 Posted January 10, 2012 Who cleaned out all the Federal shells over @ the East Brunswick store?? Now I have to clean out their Rem supply again. Not me, this time. I'll be visiting soon enough, once the shells are on sale again. Get ready Henry!
M4BGRINGO 139 Posted January 10, 2012 I have shot at least 4 cases of the pink Federal shells in our 870 and 1100, no problems at all. I gave the empties to a fellow shooter who reloads and he said about 25% of them were not reloadable, don't remember exactly why. Seems most reloaders can relaod the green target load shells a few times before they are no good anymore. Some shells hold-up better than others for reloading. Me, I just buy new cases all the time!
