hd2000fxdl 422 Posted June 4, 2012 I'd wait for someone who knows for sure but I would think there wouldn't be any difference other than the finish.

Pizza Bob 1,488 Posted June 4, 2012 I don't think that it's that they have stopped making them, I think this is brand new and they haven't started yet.. STI is about 13 weeks out on production, although that may only be on some models. Call them and find out, but I think this is brand new. NickC 23 Posted June 4, 2012 The stainless steel finish looks just like the hard chrome option they offer.

reed338 11 Posted June 5, 2012 They have been discontinued for several years now. any idea why they would discontinue what looks like a good long lasting firearm
Pizza Bob 1,488 Posted June 5, 2012 any idea why they would discontinue what looks like a good long lasting firearm They make the same gun in carbon steel and with a hard chrome finish, it costs the same as the SS version. Go for the blue and it's $300 less. Adios, Pizza Bob

Dan 177 Posted June 5, 2012 I checked out futool's (Nick's) in hard chrome. Its a sweet gun and the finish is superb. I would have thought it was SS if I wasn't in the know. That being said, I would like to know why they don't offer full SS built guns.
