Best Long Term Storage Option

What if for personal reasons, I someday felt a need to store my firearms for an indeterminate duration - for sake of argument, say underground. What is the best method?

 

Drench everything with oil, wrap in plastic and put in a PVC tube?

Give everything metal a wipe down with oil, put into vacuum seal bags, throw in a few desiccant packs, seal them up tight, place inside pvc tube, throw in a few desiccant packs, seal up pvc tube. Use PVC glue to seal up tube.

 

That's how I would do it, had I not recently lost all my firearms in a boating accident.

Us divers have all sorts of neat bags and containers that are air tight, check around on some dive sites you'll see what I mean.

its a **** to clean off but cosmoline dose a great job of preserveing anything metal. I would use it instead of the oil.
