Who's better? Army or Marines?

Recommended Posts

Ray, why are you trolling on Christmas? Hahaha. Go spend time with your family!

And the Marines, by far, c'mon. Even as an Army grunt, I can admit that, haha. Proof: I worked in a joint services command (literally worked with everyone who wore a uniform, and those who didn't), and it was a Marine Captain who would get me fired up every day when I got to work with the most vigorous and motivated salute one could imagine. The guy could push diamonds out his ass, and yet cradle a baby to sleep. Awesome guy.

But if I were to give an honest answer, the Air Force, Army, or Navy. They all provide better long term opportunities beyond just association with the service. All three provide an extensive network of veterans and skills/job training (just need to put in a form, as there is always a budget for professional development). I liked the Army because it seemingly has that 'endless budget' that someone else mentioned, and it really helped opened the doors. I worked in the "small Army" atmosphere, with my only real experience with Big Army being my training (BCT, AIT, etc.), therefore even my perspective is a bit different.

Clearly the correct answer is the Air Force. I might have a slight bias being aircrew but fret not as I sip cold beers, with hot women, sometimes in hot tubs, all over the world (63 countries so far) while serving god and country, collecting per diem. This is a fun argument however, I think the fact that a majority of my squadron is former dirt darts, ground pounders, jar heads and squids speaks volumes as to who has it better. Lifers know better.

Chicks dig big jets and flight suits. :yahoo:
