NicePants 58 Posted January 26, 2013 I'd but one off someone Yeah, me too. If you find two other people to go in on it, I'd be happy to buy one of the non-super rare variations off you guys.
Moto102 7 Posted January 26, 2013 Im interested in going in in this.. What are we talking $$ wise if there are four of us?
Underdog 1,593 Posted January 26, 2013 The nonshooters could be turned in in Newark buyback.
millsan1 3 Posted January 26, 2013 For a 1/4 split: $600 for rifles $100 for shipping Then ffl fees. So if we are at $800 per man, and my method below is acceptable, I would go in. Only fair way to split guns would be a number system, like in gym. Guy 1 gets 1, 5, 9, 13, 17 Guy 2 gets 2, 6, 10, 14, 18 Guy 3 gets 3, 7, 11, 15, 19 Guy 4 gets 4, 8, 12, 16, 20 Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk
johnp 45 Posted January 26, 2013 Rough estimate on a crate. Crate of 20 rifles=$2400 Truck freight shipping=~$400-Could be more, could be less. That is a rough estimate. Transfer fee(s)=TBD NICS=$15 To get them to an FFL we are looking at about $700 dollars a piece. Before transfer fees and nics, $140 per Mosin.
alec.mc 180 Posted January 26, 2013 Meh... 140 per mosin, It doesnt really seem like their is much savings buying in bulk, it's always been right around that price, or cheaper.
BMWR12 35 Posted January 26, 2013 I thought about this a few years ago when IO offered crates at $60/rifle. I wish I would have now. I dont think it would cost $400 to ship a crate. I have shipped and recieved Motorcycle sidecars attached to the frame coast to coast for $500 or less and im sure they take up the space of 4 of these crates. I guess it depends on the route and if it is close to another stop.

Everyone seemed to think it was a poor investment as there are so many millions of mosins out there. Seems they were wrong.
Pythagoras 2 Posted January 26, 2013 I would go for one of the regular run-of-the-mill ones as long as it shoots and doesn't look like absolute crap. So anyone who wants to go in for 5 could feel free to sell one to me
BMWR12 35 Posted January 26, 2013 I will consider it again. The RC 98ks are no longer existant and are commanding 2x-4x the old price. I am sure the Nagants wil have this happen sooner rather then later. I paid quite a bit for an early import marked and matching M38 and M44 Nagant rifle in excellent condition. I can see a regular 91/30 going for $300 or more in the next year or two.
alowerlevel 77 Posted January 26, 2013 Id might be in for 1 or 2 depending on the price
RecessedFilter 222 Posted January 26, 2013 If you guys want, I will help all of you out by buying the crate itself. That way I'll bring down the cost of everything for everyone!
HardCorr 0 Posted January 26, 2013 I would be interested in 1 depending on how much $
mikeytapz13 0 Posted January 26, 2013 I would also be interested...how many come in a great? Id be good for 4-
claptrap 0 Posted January 26, 2013 Who's gonna clean all that comsmoline?! Please let me know the price when available.
Moto102 7 Posted January 27, 2013 I'm in for a 1/4 share of a crate... Pm me if we are going to try to make this happen
JSF01 13 Posted January 27, 2013 That sounds like it would be kind of cool to do. To bad there are some major logistical problems preventing me from being able to participate. Maybe I should just buy a crate of Mosins for my self.
RUTGERS95 890 Posted January 27, 2013 I'd be in but I just dont' think it's cheaper than buying from aim. that said, if another guy is needed then I'd buy in but for 1 rifle and not 1/4 crate. I would really like us to get in on a crate of m44s!
RUTGERS95 890 Posted January 27, 2013 i also agree on the value of mosins going up. I have one I was offered 325 for already given it was unfired when I got it
BleedingOrange36 0 Posted January 27, 2013 I'd be in for one.
RUTGERS95 890 Posted January 28, 2013 can we get a box of m44s?
