9mm ammo

Hello Everyone,

Just wondering what to look for in 9mm ammo. Right now just making holes in targets, but looking for a good buy. Not sure what to look for other then brass? What about grain? Are some more dirty then others? Also, do you use different ammo for home defense and what you use when you go target shooting?

I pick up Federal 115gr in 100 round boxes for 20.99 at Walmart. Every time I see them in stock I grab a few boxes.

From time to time I get lucky at my local Dicks stores... PMC, Remington, Blazer Brass and Winchesters (115-124g)... all for around $14.99 per 50 rounds. Goodluck!

I use federal 147 gr fmj. On that note I am shooting it out of my Cx4 Storm. Its cheaper to use fmj rounds for target practice then hollow points but when SHTF in the night you should practice with your home defense ammo every now and then just so you remember how it handles.

If the M&Ps will run on steel cased ammo then try some of that stuff. It's cheap and will suffice for punching holes through paper. Even the Blazer aluminum case stuff will do.
