homemade handgun racks for safes?

I was looking at getting a handgun rack for my safe but man are those things over priced! anyone have ideas for a homemade version made on the cheap?

I've got a velcro type version, paid around 50 or 60, not going to get much cheaper then that.

 

 

I guess you could always buy some rod, bend and weld it. assuming you had the welder, and the skill to do it.

 

or get the wife to sew together some holders out of an old t shirt and some velcro on the back?

 

 

.... I'd buy retail in this case.

Also, i've seen a few home made ones that go on the shelf and hold pistols.

mounted some pegboard on the door and then used peg hooks that I diped into a plastic coat that i diped them in so they would not scratch the gun.

like the pig board, I was just on home depot site looking at that stuff, it's the best option I think, unlimited on what you can hang up there...

Looking for ones to hold my mags. Valcro backed cloth ones for the back of the safe wall.

Lots of dead space there.

my aunt is a seamstress and i was gonna get here to make me something up outta OD green military fabric..

 

then sew magnets into it

I did something similar with my cheep Homak cabinet - I found some inexpensive plastic-coated closet hooks and mounted them on the door. I can hang 2 pistols from each hook; upside-down by their trigger guards.

Peg board does it for me
