Cannon wall vault

Anyone try one of these wall safes?  I was planning on putting it next to my front door and afew places around the house. Since the SecureLogic is discontinued, I think this is my best bet.  Not looking for cheap junk.  If not, what else would you guys recommend?  Link below:

I've used a few wall safes , in plain view anyone who enters your home can spot it.

I put mine behind mirrors, pictures or behind the hinge side of a door( open door hides safe,you can only see it when door is closed)

I have been considering getting one of the rifle size safe's for the bed room closet. I have not seen or know any one who has one but if all goes according to plan... i'll let you know how the safe is after fathers day!

I like the idea of the wall safe but havn't bought one,

the wall vault seems to be the most expensive compared to a search on Amazon under "wall safe."

it seems to offer a little more though. I like the idea for having quick access to a gun in a family room or front foyer closet. Obviously not for valuables, but offers quick access in an area you will need it and prevents kids from getting to it.

 

quite a few youtube videos on installation...seems extremely easy.

Unfort, I dont have a closet in my foyer to put a safe, so I wanted to put it in the wall next to my front door. 

Since there are NO kids in the house, i lucked out.

Recommend you put a pair of long steel strips between the safe & studs. Otherwise, sawsall will take it out in a few minutes. Make sure it is covered by a picture.Realistically, "They" will be in and out of your house in 5 minutes- the first time. There is no defense against a determined burgular with time but they are few and far between. If they are determined and talented, they might as well be contractors and make honest money.

I would prob go alittle overboard fastening it to the wall.  Gonna gut the sheetrock, re-enforce it & then re-frame afterwards.  Maybe wood studs, metal studs,  plate steel strip & lag bolts?

I like the idea of the wall safe but havn't bought one,

after doing some addt'l investigation, i think im gonna order the above safe w/ electronic lock. 

Seems like Gardall builds some high quality safes, rather than novelty items.
