wink-_-wink 1 Posted August 10, 2013 I am looking at the xdM compact 3.8 inch in either a .40 or .45 mostly depending on difficulty of finding pinned extended mags for the .40 and price. I have seen them in both calibers for in the $500's and all the way up to pushing $800.
Vicious 138 Posted August 10, 2013 I'm amazed that Jersey City has a 1 to 2 week turn around. Luck of the draw in Jersey.
checko 180 Posted August 10, 2013 Jesus you didn't have one yet? Lol I forget that not everyone here has an easy time getting their stuff squared away. Congrats.
boo 6 Posted August 10, 2013 I'm amazed that Jersey City has a 1 to 2 week turn around. Luck of the draw in Jersey. I bet it's because they have relatively fewer applicants. I mean requiring a notarized letter from your employer? It requires 1) being comfortable telling you're boss that you're getting a gun 2) that person not being anti-gun 3) that person willing to go to the trouble of having the letter notarized. I should have had an FID years ago when I first looked into it when I was living in Jersey City. But the notarized employer letter thing did a pretty good job of discouraging me. I hope you're a member of NJ2AS. Give Frank a call and discuss that with him. That sounds pretty illegal to me. Wink-Wink, congrats on your paper!!! Now, go get you somethin'! Old Glock guy 1,127 Posted August 12, 2013 Congratulations! I can remember that wait seeming interminable, and mine was only around 5-6 weeks vs. the disgraceful six months that your town took.
