Melgamatic 66 Posted August 20, 2013 Can we do a group buy just our of curiosity why would we do a group buy? the shipping is only $5...
DbleTrouble 8 Posted August 20, 2013 Nice deal! If you have a Cabelas credit card use clubfive code for $5 shipping.
Melgamatic 66 Posted August 20, 2013 They have $5 shipping for everyone using club 83FLAT (except ammo).
voyager9 3,437 Posted August 20, 2013 just our of curiosity why would we do a group buy? the shipping is only $5... $5 shipping for a $10 product == 33% of the total (ish) Get 10 friends: $5 shipping for $100 and it's only 5% of total.
mikeyjones 88 Posted August 20, 2013 $5 shipping for a $10 product == 33% of the total (ish) Get 10 friends: $5 shipping for $100 and it's only 5% of total. Math is a little off but point remains. You're comparing total in the first calculation to subtotal in the second. (It would be slightly less than 5% or the first calc would be 50%) either way, I agree with you. DirtyDigz 1,812 Posted August 20, 2013 I'm in for 4. Anyone else in the Morristown area want to jump on my order and split shipping?
PK90 3,573 Posted August 20, 2013 Regular shipping is minimal. I just ordered 20. Better hurry up. BTW, Cabelas is 15 miles from me now. Sent from my DROID4 using Tapatalk
DirtyDigz 1,812 Posted August 20, 2013 That '83FLAT' code isn't working for me even though the order is over $99.00 - do these cans count as "ammo"?
DirtyDigz 1,812 Posted August 20, 2013 Order placed, 'CLUBFIVE' and payment with the club card works. Ordered extra in case anyone wants a couple.

You are ignoring the cost of gas and the time to drive the things around once they arrive at a single location in NJ. That cost will vastly outweigh the $4.50 you saved in shipping with your 10 friends.
Krdshrk 3,878 Posted August 20, 2013 Yeah that code 83FLAT wasn't working for me either.
ogfarmer 138 Posted August 20, 2013 Example: normal shipping for 15 cans is $14.95 so a extra dollar a can isnt bad for the weight involved

Obviously it doesn't make sense if everyone is spread across NJ. However it may make sense if they all frequent the same range or brothel. At the end of the day it could save a few bucks.. but may or may not make sense.
