AR prices

Been out of the gun world last few years due to work and lack of extra income, but now things are normalized financialy (kind of)    anyways always wanted an AR, but last i was checking few years back the prices were going sky high...

have the prices  settled, dropped, or gone up even more,  this would be my first AR so im not sure what to get just something to shoot and eventualy like every thing else i get, upgrade

They have come back down from the recent scare in the beginning of the year.  I would suggest building your own if you plan on upgrading it anyway.  It will save you money and you will have exactly what you want

If its been a few years prices have likely gone down, then up, then down again lol.  Right now there is a glut of ar's on the market and some really good deals can be had if you look in the right places.  

 

Look at slickguns.com in the rifles section for good deals on assembled rifles or use marketplace listings to piece together your own rifle for cheap and exactly how you want it.

thats just it, i dont know what i want, i mean i know how i want it to look, but i wouldnt know a good part from a crappy one, so what i would deem a good deal could really turn out to be a bad one,,    guess its research time

I see your in Clinton, If you in to Heritage Guild in Branchburg they have Windham Weaponry's for like $875. They also have some Stags.

The ever popular M&P 15 Sport is around $700 or a stag arms model 3 is $895 is a good basic AR. I built a CMMG lower with a CMMG parts kit mil-spec buffer tube and Magpul stock with a preassembled Stag 3H upper and CMMG iron sights for 6-7ish.

My friend just built an ar for just over 400 bucks. Only thing he still needs is a rear sight. They can be built on a budget

The prices seem to have dropped and stabilized back to pre-Newtown rates.  Now wouldn't be the worst time to buy.

Im looking to spend in the $600-700 range for now,  funds are low thats why i was trying to keep it basic  and eventually add to it,

right now only thing i know is i like the spikes, and biohazard and the zombie lowers, and for sights i was thinking flip sights for now then eventualy add a better sight
