Steel is Real at Cherry Ridge

I was at Cherry Ridge for a couple hours today and noticed that they have a piece of 5" x12" steel at the 100 yard range now. If you shoot at ports 37 to 40 then you are only allowed to shoot this rectangular piece of steel that sits just past 100 yards. Well, it aint much but at least we can shoot steel now. Times they is a changing! I dont know if they did the same thing at the pistol or 200/300 yard range but it would be neat if they did.

But how can you zero using that mess? Forgive me for asking what may be silly questions. But I'm a pistol shooter branching out.

You can't.   Paper is for zeroing, and for any work you do to improve accuracy and precision.

The multi-purpose range, which only allows .22s (rifles and handguns) and pellet guns, has a few dozen steel targets already in place. I assume you can bring your own to that range. The handgun range allows "turning targets at 25 yard range."
