Let see those Rimfires. =P

Recommended Posts

EDITED my original post to include the newest members of my Portfolio in the Rimfire division :-) Gots to cop dat blacktikal taktikal takticool AR style M&P 15-22.

I'm all about value but also about just KNOWING it, FEELING IT... etc. The S&W M&P fits me great/feels great... The Remington 597 did me much better / felt much better than the 10/22 everyone recommended to me when I was looking for my first 22... and that Savage...Boy oh boy.. I love that rifle. It feels like it costs $1599.99 not $150 when it's in my hands/looking at it etc. Its like my favorite ... I highly recommend.

My new S&W 617. Have had this for over a year now. This is my favorite gun. It will shoot any ammo and goes 'bang' every time. Very accurate and it's just plain fun.

My Sig P226 22LR (not a Mosquito). I love the weight, feel, balance. A very nice .22. Had some jamming problems in the beginning. Sig replaced the slide and now with a lot of rounds through it, it's very reliable. Honestly though, I don't shoot it as a .22 very much. I did buy and install the Sigpower mods. It does need to be cleaned often. I put a 9MM conversion slide on it and that's what I shoot the most. It's a great 9MM.

Maksim - yep, I spent the extra money to buy the P226 because I read a lot of negative stuff about the Mosquito. In fairness, I know some who are pleased with Mosquito but after handling it and the 226, the 226 just felt better. The P226 had the advantage that I could convert it to a 9MM, .357 Sig, or 40S&W with one of their 'xchange' kits (about $400). If you buy the 226 as a .22, then convert to a larger caliber, it's much cheaper than buying the larger caliber first and then buying the .22 conversion. I talked to Sig today and they sent me a shipping label to send it in. Maybe it's the CCI Minimags. I've read a few comments lately about people noticing a 'waxy' build up when shooting them. We'll see what Sig says. I'm not ready to give up on it, yet.

Man that Walther is SWEET.... I have had a SERIOUS itch for a walther for MONTHS now... but alas no more handgun permits and its such a PITA....

But that is an sweet awesome piece... Nice.

Thanks, appreciate the compliment!

Its a cool little .22 pistol, I love it. I have over 10k rds through it and its performed flawlessly. I love the green/black scheme too, Im glad I didnt get the plain black. I can shoot some pretty good groupings at 7yds with it, for having such a small barrel and such a small frame.

One of my buddies has one with suppressor. It kicks ass, it's like airsoft but more quiet. I could have gotten the same gun/suppressor combo for $600 (plus $200 stamp), but I decided to try to upgrade my Advantage Arms kit for my Glock with a threaded barrel. Since it didn't work well out of the box anyway and I have to send it back.
