My advice, stay away from those rockets. More and more guys are wrecking them because of the need for speed. And that position on the bike is most unatural. Get yourself a small cruiser, get the feel, and when you think you outgrew it, move on to a bigger one..... ;)

a ninja 250?!?!

ninja 250s are great to learn on... then would move to a naked street bike... not really a cruiser, but not a crotch rocket.

I personally think that you are going to hate yourself if you buy a 250s after a month of riding it (to small). My first bike was a Yamaha 400 after a week a traded for a 650 within a year a bought a Harley Sporter 900, price was $3.900

Depends on your weight, height, and frame size, and most important.....attitude....I bought a 250 Honda Rebel, and she handles pretty damn good

for a " small " bike. But really... it's on two wheels, and that's all that counts. Personal preference, and not being pressured.A lot of guys hang it up because of someone elses advice.

Just like shooting...you don't start someone out with .700 Nitro, just because you could do it.

A good rider gives someone an honest opinion, not macho bull.

That was my personal honest opinion. I not saying buy a super bike. I use to like to take long rides to the shore, that

Ninja 250? I guess if you're learning. That thing only has like 35hp. My old Nighthawk 650 had 65hp and it could have used more.

The Ninjas are nice bikes but you're going to want something with more than a weedwacker motor on it pretty quick.

I have a funny history, the day I sold my Kawasaki 400 I took the buyer to take the test to the Roosevelt Stadium in Jersey City, show my license to the officer, the guy takes the test, there were 4 more guys that wanted to take the test and did not have anybody to show the license, one guy ask and I accepted then the second by the third guy the officer told me to go home he already have my driver license number.
