DUCK COMMANDER AND MOSSBERG TEAM UP..
henrym replied to tony357's topic in Firearm Hobby / Sport Discussion
Even when they were partnered with Benelli they used to show them shooting Brownings regularly. Good Catch. -
I have regasketed my wood stove doors with this stuff. It works quite well.

as a general rule you dont want to pin a flash hider or comp onto an M1A because it inhibits your ability to remove parts of the gas system for cleaning.
-
You need the drill press. Or even more preferable, a bridgeport style mill.

me too. and I checked all of mine

Per se no, but he can use that to bolster an argument for public safety concerns. -

True, but I do mine on a bridgeport. If the barrel isn't times perfectly, the bit will just snap off when it stats to spin because the entire lower assembly is locked in the mill vice, or the hole will elongate. I do it with the same method as shane. Calipers to measure the thickness of the comp at the site of the hole, then a measurement of the thread depth. Add the 2 together and set the stop on mill head for that dimension and go forward with a carbide drill. Finish ream, pin and then a small spot weld with the tig machine.

Yes. If you answer to that question it is disqualifying. I have had customers in your situation and that is how it is handled. -
That was my understanding as well. I was always told its outside our scope.

Thats quite the deal for a heavy barrel model 10. Go buy it before someone here beats you to it.

use a dental pick and try to catch the parts and slowly ease it out that way

What is consider "tight" group when reloading???
henrym replied to locochinoloco's topic in Ammunition & Reloading
You need more load development. The problem with loading that long for a pistol is that your rounds will more than likely not feed through the mag. You are also going to lower the chamber pressure as you load longer and longer, which can cause incomplete powder burn and/or a squib Herters isn't particularly accurate ammo, and you should have no problem getting better results than that. -
along with the above tests, make sure the disconnector spring was installed correctly. (fat end down)

Check if SW would be willing to put the barrel from the 627 PC on it. 5" with the same profile

Boot drives are a necessary evil. They help raise money for equipment and/or training. Without this source of income to purchase say equipment (scba, ppe, extrication tools, thermal imaging cameras, etc) its very possible that someones life could hang in the balance.
-
Thats false. Its between about 3 and 5% depending on the item.

Once torqued to the proper spec and staked, one would not need to carry the wrench because it should not move.

When bedding the action you are going to go as far forward as the recoil lug. Stop there. Their is no justifiable reason to bring material closer to the barrel on a free floated gun, unless you are having harmonics issues which is an entirely different conversation.
-
The gap around the action should be glass bed, and the gap around the barrel free floats it.

Ruger LC9 seems to fit all your requirements.
