  1. I'll believe it when I see it. There were lots of places that reinstated the death penalty, never actually used it, and got rid of it again, like NJ.
  2. It figures I see this now, the day after, and after I just bought a Lincoln Clay thrower I've been dying to try out.. Oh well maybe next time, sorry I missed this one. Hopefully I go to the next one.
  3. You aren't kidding. I went out there to meet a guy selling a clay thrower a few weeks ago. Decided to go in and look around. I decided to buy an item and was told my old rewards card wasn't valid and they needed to take all of my info again. I told them I wanted to skip it and just buy the item. I was told he needed just to complete the purchase, even though I was paying cash. I promptly put the item down and left. The item in question was a $12 Dry Box. Needless to say I won't be going in there too much any more.
  4. Sadly I'm missing this event, due to the fact my flying club is having one of their plane washes and it's kind of a mandatory event, especially since "That's All Brother" has finally been restored properly. Would love to be there in Normandy when they do their mass air drop for the 75th Anniversary. Best I can do is see if I can make it out to Reading's World War II weekend. If anyone ever wants to see a local C-47 that was actually at Normandy head out to the American Airpower Museum at Farmingdale Airport on Long Island.
  5. OK I'm in for this one. Might be a little late getting over there, but I'll be there.
  6. I might be able to make this one, but won't know for sure until the morning of, due to me waiting to see if I get called in for work. Only thing I need to check is if I have a box of clays to bring along.
  7. Hi everyone. Not too long ago I dealt with Modern Materiel for an FFL transfer and while there I got to check out some of their rifles. They seem good from the samples that I handled. I was curious if anyone has bought any of them and if so how's the quality compared to one from a major manufacturer? I also remember seeing a web site a few years back for another NJ company that manufactured AR type rifles (I think it was up near Randolph?), but my site search has turned up nothing. I was also curious to know if there were any other NJ companies that manufacture AR's and if so how's their quality? I'm considering this because quite frankly I thinks great to see a local manufacturer that does this sort of thing and a great way to give a great big middle finger to this oppressive state.
  8. You know what PK I think you're right. I finally looked up the model number and see it's a wood stock and stainless barrel. I saw stainless in the description and assumed they all came in the synthetic stock.
  9. Couldn't find the model number, but it looks like it fits your bill. I would reach out and contract the seller and just confirm which one it is for sure. http://www.legendfirearms.com/rifles-and-carbines/ruger-mini-14-556
  10. Grass roots it was, but you know what at least they did care enough to set it up. After the last rally my club president posted at flyer up for this one at the club on the bulletin board. The day before I sent out a copy of the flyer on the club messaging system to see if anyone else was actually going. I had one guy text me, breaking my balls a bit about posting it to rile up the other members and then the guy had the balls to text me the next day and ask how it went, needless to say I ignored him and didn't respond. Didn't see anyone else from my club down there. I won't break balls about it because there was very little info on it to begin with and I probably went down more as a curiosity, since I'm much newer to this struggle than most of the other folks I've been around. Regardless of what ever everyone else thinks, for me it was a learning experience as much as anything. Not to mention a decent social experience.
  11. Nice photos, glad you posted them up here so quick.
  12. I'm just curious about something, if you attend this committee meeting do you have to give testimony or can you just go to observe. I wanted to ask because the way I was reading the updates it sounded like they wanted those attending to give testimony. Sent from my SM-T800 using Tapatalk
  13. That's funny because I just had one arrive in the mail the other day. I just threw in the garbage because in the grand scheme of things a $10 isn't going to change my life. Plus on top of that I just mailed them my rewards card along a letter as to why I was mailing it back to them, so I don't think could have used it without it anyway.
  14. We Are Not The Problem Welcome to NJ: Abandon All Hope We Will Not Remain Silent Law Abiding Criminal (as Nappen would say)
  15. Thank you Mrs Peel, this will help tremendously when I mail back my Rewards card and all of the coupons they've sent to my home. Not to mention a letter with them telling them why they are receiving them.
  16. Good video, I like the ground run setup he has on it to get it running, looks like it would make a good test stand in general.
  17. Yes I've been getting it too. Is there any solution to get it rid of it permanently if you're not interested in buying their crap.
  18. I got this name from a safe company I was thinking of buying from. I never used either service, since I bought my safe from some place else. This guy might be worth taking a look at. The Safe Man
  19. Thanks for the info. Looks like mine is probably June of 95 from what I can tell.
  20. I bought it used and I wanted to figure out when exactly it was made. Is there a way to do that with the Serial Number online or is that only done with the barrel codes?
  21. Have you tried emailing the range at Gun for Hire? Supposedly they keep a list of 2A friendly businesses on file. You may want to try them if you have no luck with any recommendations here. Sadly I don't know any myself or I'd drop a name.
  22. This is a sad day. Actually met him at the Reno Air Races a few times, definitely great people, but unfortunately I never actually got to see him in his natural element. The man was royalty there and at Oshkosh for sure. Some where on my hard drive I've got him hauling ass on a golf cart on the ramp at Stead Field.
  23. Thanks for the info from everyone so far. Once again I learned more in the five minutes of reading responses than I ever could have deciphering statues, not mention a few other things to think about. As a side note, the neighbor in question, has son on the local PD who lives with him. A little bit of a timing change and I could have been dealing with one of them regardless .
