  1. Did a NJ Prosecutor’s office admit to gun buyback’s illegality? By John Petrolino | May 11, 2022 7:30 PM ET AP Photo/Don Thompson Feel good, do nothing, so-called “gun buybacks”, more appropriately attributed as compensated confiscations by Cam, just don’t get old. They don’t get old because the programs fit the description of that insane person doing the same thing over and over again, expecting a different result. The spirit of a compensated confiscation may seem altruistic, but the big picture clearly prints them as what they are…a way and means to help in disarming America. They don’t lower crime and it’s been proven to actually acutely raise the amount of crime in a given area. Another New Jersey amnesty program was announced a couple of weeks ago, and let’s see what they’re all about. Morris County Announces Gun Buy Back for May Published on May 03, 2022 Guns at buy back program Cash Exchanges, No Questions Asked Two “Guns for Cash” events are scheduled to be held in Morris County to reduce the number of unwanted and unsecured guns circulating in the community. The two events, organized by several agencies as the Morris County Gun Buy Back Amnesty Program, will be held over two days, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on: Saturday, May 14, 2022 Budd Lake Fire Department 378 Route 46 Budd Lake, NJ 07828 Sunday, May 15, 2022 Parsippany Police Athletic League (PAL) Building 33 Baldwin Road Parsippany, NJ 07054 The program was announced in a joint press release by Acting Attorney General Matthew J. Platkin, Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll, Morris County Sheriff James Gannon, Chief of Detectives Christoph K. Kimker of the prosecutor’s office, Mount Olive Police Chief Stephen Beecher, Parsippany-Troy Hills Police Chief Richard Pantina, the Morris County Board of Commissioners, and Morris County Crimestoppers. New Jersey residents are invited to turn in firearms with “no questions asked,” and will receive as much as $300 per weapon for up to three guns. The thing about these so-called buyback programs is that there are no provisions in New Jersey law that really allows for them to legally occur. This particular buyback is being championed by the acting Attorney General Matthew Platkin, along with several entities in Morris County. In asking people to bring their unwanted firearms to the two locations, everyone mentioned in the press release is responsible for asking people to break New Jersey Law. The possession and transportation laws in New Jersey are so strict, that without the proper permits, which in the case of a handgun a permit to carry would be required, people would not be under the narrow exemptions. Hoping to be doing the right thing (or disposing of evidence), participants would be in unlawful possession of a firearm. This is kind of a rinse and repeat. The last bunch of pieces I’ve churned out on New Jersey buybacks, I’ve asked the same or similar questions of those hosting the event(s), including the Attorney General (AG). For this new acting AG, this was our first trip around the block on the topic together, however the office of the AG has been ignoring my correspondence since before last fall. 2. https://www.lawenforcementtoday.com/gun-from-chicago-buy-back-program-found-near-dead-gang-member-in-police-shooting/ Super short summary, guy sells a gun to a buyback in chicago, and 8 years later it turns up next to a guy the police shot who happens to be a felon. So.. that raises the question are they selling the guns to felons, or are they pocketing them and planting them on people they murder?
  3. Just saw on the news Jacksonville FL has a buyback program going on that I can support. They are NOT buying back guns, rather they are offering residents 50 cent for each sign they turn in from public right of ways that advertise all sorts of crap like we buy houses or other such visual pollution. Now if only the socialist people’s republic of New Jermany could do that instead of the BS gun buybacks
  4. https://www.nj.com/essex/index.ssf/2018/07/your_dollars_can_be_used_to_buy_back_guns_in_this.html Let's say someone really wanted to be a jackass. And this thing is in September. What's to stop a person or persons from hanging around outside the buyback, and offering more cash than the county is? Maybe a good way to pick some interesting antiques at a bargain? Inquiring minds would like to know. Also, in before "Nappen says buybacks are illegal" I know, I know, I'm referring to a person or persons hosting their own "buyback" nearby.

  6. Anyone interested in hitting up a gun buyback with a big stack of CoEs? http://www.nj.com/suburbannews/index.ssf/2014/10/union_county_announces_countyw.html Saturday, Oct 25th from 9AM to 5PM Linden Location: Morning Star Community Christian Center 1009 Chandler Ave Linden, NJ 07036 Plainfield Location: Visions of God Family Church 350 Leland Ave (@ corner of North Ave) I'm probably going to go to the Linden location.
  7. Did the forum catch or discuss last month's bill that was recently passed in the Assembly, Bill A2895, concerning expanding NJ's Gun "Buyback" Program? I thought Gun Buyback programs were technically illegal in this state?
  8. NJ.Com has story on a bill about a statewide gun buyback program.
  9. Too bad this anti who ran it wasn't happy with the outcome. Good for Georgia! http://gunssavelives.net/blog/anti-gunner-gets-mad-when-guns-bought-in-buyback-were-auctioned-off-to-be-sold-to-public/

  11. http://www.myfoxny.com/Story/23278765/toy-gun-buyback Cory Booker hard at work protecting kids.... or something. Even after admitting there is no link between toy guns and violence, the city wastes money on this non-sense.
  12. mp40.....sad, but someone turned in an mp40. and I am not talking about a sw M&P 40.... $10k gun for just 250
  13. I really hope im posting in the right place (im a lurker so if i messed up, i apologized) but i hear from reddit that there is a gun Buy Back in hoboken this weekend. I was thinking it would be cool to set up an opposing buy back to keep the guns in the system. Basically we dress nice (so people feel comfortable talking to us) and offer more than the police for the guns that are worth saving. Here are the issues, its very short notice, and I dont know the legality. Anyone else want to get involved (or take the lead since i dont know squat) in this?
  14. Is anybody interested in saving some of these dangerous weapons from the hands of cops? The buyback is propose to be held next month In Millville, Vineland and Bridgeton. http://www.nj.com/cumberland/index.ssf/2013/05/three_cumberland_county_church.html
  15. These folks were so busy on Saturday that they were still set up when we entered the lobby of our church for 5:30PM Mass. They ran out of funds as early as Saturday afternoon, resorting to issuing IOU's. (Some of the stuff on that table I wouldn't label as old junk either.) http://www.northjers...uns_so_far.html
  16. Burlington County residents can anonymously turn in up to 3 guns, No questions asked! http://www.co.burlington.nj.us/Upload/Sheriff/Images/Gun_Buy_Back_Flyer.pdf April 13, 9am-4pm. $150 for an "Assault weapon". I may show up with a rock that has some blood and hair on it.. Then stand outside with some COE's and pick up something decent.
  17. One more 'Assault Rifle' off the streets... http://via.me/-aq2xpc8 Link to article in local media. http://bit.ly/Z6utf3
  18. Seems that if you took a semi 22 rifle clunker and stuck a flash hider and bayonet on it you would increase its value from $100 to $250, just thinking outside the box, it would be helpful to our elected officials because then they could say they got even more "assault guns" off the street.
  19. Atlantic County’s first gun buyback in more than two years is planned for later this month, with dropoff points in Atlantic City and Pleasantville. http://m.pressofatlanticcity.com/news/breaking/gun-buyback-planned-for-atlantic-county-weapons-collected-in-state/article_0f3b5a6e-85fb-11e2-81e2-0019bb2963f4.html?mode=jqm Let me know if there are any plans to protest or do a counter buyback. I'll promote it with the PA crowd.
  20. March 8th and 9th. http://www.nj.com/mo...t_river_default Anyone wanna crash the party and see if we can filter some shotguns and or rifles away from the smelter? "Firearms can be turned in March 8 and 9 at the Shiloh Community Fellowship Ministry located at 142 Dewitt Avenue in Asbury Park or at Saint Ann Catholic Church located at 267 Carr Avenue in Keansburg."
  21. Gun buyback, guns for Beyoncé tickets.... http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/lookout/gun-buyback-proposal-trade-firearms-beyonc%C3%A9-tickets-195308327.html
  22. http://www.newstimes.com/news/article/NJ-s-third-gun-buyback-program-under-way-4282027.php If they make their way further south say Asbury Park or the Ocean County area.. Id like to ask anyone interested to spend the day with me bargain shopping before they hit the smelter. I figure a sign asking if they have rifles or shotguns either inherited or currently in possession of a valid fid, id be more than happy to offer more than what the buyback program offers if what they have is of interest to me. Legal transfers with COEs maybe get lucky with a sweet pickup. Make a big sign or two before they hit the buyback parking lot. Laminate NJs gun laws for legal transfer of long guns, and stop some of these beauties from being destroyed. Ill put at least a grand to the venture. If anyone gets a heads up of these things ahead of time let the forum know.

  24. http://dcxposed.com/2013/01/27/seattle-gun-buyback-gets-jacked-turns-into-a-damn-gun-show-lol/ Police officers in Seattle, Washington held their first gun buyback program in 20 years this weekend, underneath interstate 5, and soon found that private gun collectors were working the large crowd as little makeshift gun showsbegan dotting the parking lot and sidewalks. Some even had “cash for guns” signs prominently displayed. Police stood in awe as gun enthusiasts and collectors waved wads of cash for the guns being held by those standing in line for the buyback program. People that had arrived to trade in their weapons for $100 or $200 BuyBack gift cards($100 for handguns, shotguns and rifles, and $200 for assault weapons) soon realized that gun collectors were there and paying top dollar for collectible firearms. So, as the line for the chump cards got longer and longer people began to jump ship and head over to the dealers. John Diaz, Seattles Police Chief, wasn’t pleased with the turn of events stating “I’d prefer they wouldn’t sell them,” but admitted it’s perfectly legal for private individuals to buy and sell guns, FOR NOW. Mayor Mike McGinn said at a news conference the private transactions are a loophole that needs to be closed. “There’s no background checks, and some (guns) could be exchanged on the streets that shouldn’t be in circulation.” But Schuyler Taylor, a previous gun retailer attending the event in hopes of buying weapons, asked “Why not offer them cash versus a gift card? I’m still taking the guns off the streets; they’re just going in my safe.” People were reportedly, at one point, jumping out of vehicles whilst sitting in traffic – making on the spot deals with the gun buyers. But the BuyBack wasn’t a bust. On the contrary – their $80,000 supply of gift cards didn’t last but 2 hours, and by 11:00 am they began attempting to issue IOU’s at which point the entire crowd responded by turning and marching toward the gun dealers, forcing the police officers to pack it up for the day. On one last note of hilarity, the Seattle Police department claims that they will check the buyback guns to see if any were previously stolen and, if so, try to return them to the rightful owners! LOL. Brilliant! In 1992, Seattle police collected more than 1,200 guns in a four-day buyback program. Now the only question is, when will the Seattle Police department stage the next gun show?
