Blew Off Work and Went Pheasant Hunting!

I cleared up my schedule at 9 today, and drove out to Buttonwood. Went out with one of their dogs.

Took home 3 chukar and 4 pheasants, 1 female, 3 coq's

 

I just couldnt wait and am ready to go out when anyone wants to...

They have several fields, so there are birds stocked the night before. The best part is watching the dog work the birds...

congrats on the birds

+1 on watching the dog work i took my springer sunday to see what she would do.... she was chasing mice for about an hour then you see her really start working then it looked like she was chasing a rabbit(saw something run out of the corner of my eye) then this cock bird comes flying out of the woods. she just keep going. i was so excited as it was the first bird she ever kicked up but it didnt phase her.

Big traffic jam (for there) at E. Colliers Mills rd. this am, there were at least 30 trucks or so in and around the field, did anyone get boids from there?

I was there last weekend. I had a great time and brought home a few Pheasant and Chukar.
