Dont know a ton, but will share my opinion on what I do know.

Daniel Defense LPK is top notch, what I used in my AR, no issues.

BCM is highly rated. Flash hider is illegal in NJ for all intensive purposes if you plan on having a pistol grip or a removeable magazine. =) Needs to be a muzzle break/compensator, that is permanently attached, especially since it is a 14.5" barrel.

This is simply a suggestion. I'm not entirely sure of the quality PSA provides for their lowers, but I hear they're good quality. If you're already ordering the LPG from aimsurplus, why not order the Spikes Tactical lower from them as well? It's literally the SAME price as the PSA lower, but you may save some on shipping or be able to use some kind of coupon code. Spikes Tactical puts out some great lowers as well. Just some food for thought.

I just built a PSA lower and everything went on with ease...surprised me since this was my first build (less than an hour)...it looks as good as any other lower. I also ordered PSA's MOE lower build kit...came with LPK, MOE grip, MOE stock, buffer tube, buffer, and spring for $125. I'm sure DD's lpk is top notch and I'll admit the parts on my kit had some machining marks (nothing major) but it functions great...trigger feels crisp and reset seems too be nice...haven't test fired it yet though. It'll save you a few bucks and I really prefer the MOE furniture over the standard M4 stock and grip. I have a BCM 16" midlength upper for it...fits together nice with a tiny bit of wiggle. If you get the 14.5 you'll have to have them permanently weld a brake which I think the cheapest option is $90 or so. I sent my 16" to Paul at Arms and Ammo and he permanently attached my brake and shaved my bayonet lug (which you'll have to do) for about $40 bucks. I bought a YHM Phantom brake for $25 (I heard it's loud but I really don't care much, I got ear protection for that)

You forgot a BCG, charging handle, and rear sight from your list. I have a BCM gunfighter mod4 charging handle and it's pretty sweet but probably not necessary at about $45. I still need a BCG and rear sight myself...prob going to go with a DD BCG unless the BCM is available when I have the extra scratch. For a rear sight I'm going to go with the Magpul mbus rear sight. Good luck with your build! Hope some of this helps

So I have to get the upper assembly fixed for mj gay rules bc there still stuck on the old books lmao

Unfortunately you do. They're pretty ridiculous laws if you ask me. You also have to pin the stock if it's adjustable...another pointless law. You can do that yourself with a drill, punch, and roll pin. There are YouTube videos for that

Whats better o shoot 300 to 500 yards? 14.5 middy upper or 16 middy upper by bcm

Honestly, if you plan on shooting far, then just get a 20" upper from PSA and an A2 style muzzle brake from Evolution Gun Works in PA... All in all you'll spend $500 and get everything you need for it to be NJ legal. EGW will even send pre-drill the brake for pinning as well ($10 extra).

I don't really use my 14.5" carbine out past 100-200 yards... but even then it groups quite well.

Built one and bought one. Had a 16" and a 20" flattop. They're fun to build and IMAO absolutely worth it. Is company X better than company Y? Maybe, but who really knows? Remember that one company's "mil-spec" is not another company's "mil-spec" so you might have two "mil-spec" parts on a "mil-spec" receiver that don't work together, as happened to me. Just don't go cheap on insides or you'll regret it.

To the question, at 300 to 500 yards, what do you consider good groups? Hits on an 18" steel plate or 3" groups (not gonna happen consistently). Short ARs are a compromise to gain maneuverability in vehicles and inside houses (think about who carries them 'for real' and why). So I think at that range, your skill, ammo and ambient conditions matter a lot more than 1.5 inches. I'm not an expert; just my own opinion.

Final verdict - lots of fun to build them, but be realistic about what you're going to get. Good luck & have fun.
