And this is why I'm glad most people in the US use the "obsolete" magnetic stripe. Europe is predominantly chip & pin, and you can't use a magnetic stripe card in many places now, but there are risks.

 

I know there is nothing in my wallet that has an RFID chip.

Just to be safe, 5 seconds in the microwave or smash the RFIDs with a hammer.

 

It's a crime to disable RFIDs in passport, better off using a hammer as it won't leave evidence like the microwave would. Microwave might also screw up magnetic strips on CC so better use hammer for that as well.
