BlueLineFish 615 Posted May 14, 2012 I plan on trying this out. Will be bringing the GSG. Anybody else planning on attending?
M4BGRINGO 139 Posted May 14, 2012 IN! Don't know what I will bring yet, Sig 1911-22, S&W 617, or S&W 22A.............. I like the 617 the most out of that group.
BlueLineFish 615 Posted May 14, 2012 Only one gun is needed correct? Can one use rifles or is it handgun only?
Smokin .50 1,907 Posted May 14, 2012 Either and sometimes both. Shoot Iggy an email for info or go to the Club's web site for the newsletter, if you're not on the list for some reason. Dave
M4BGRINGO 139 Posted May 14, 2012 Unless it is a special match only one gun required, .22 carbines are good also.
raz-0 1,259 Posted May 14, 2012 I might actually make it out this month, we'll see. Looking at the stages for this month, I do have to wonder how one shoots rifle weak hand or strong hand only. Or for rifle do they just go weak side, strong side with two hands?

Or for rifle do they just go weak side, strong side with two hands? Maybe no mag change required?? It would be easy with a pistol grip stock. I've done it with an AR-15 and it's do-able, but you have to be careful. It's a good question though......
BlueLineFish 615 Posted May 14, 2012 Well disregard...i wont be attending. I have a graduation in Pennsylvania i am supposed to be going to. I have to stop agreeing to things before i see the months schedule of events.
M4BGRINGO 139 Posted May 14, 2012 I remember shooting my 10/22 Ruger from the weak side, but we did not shoot those rifles single-handed.
JonF 79 Posted May 14, 2012 Maybe in... i dunno for sure though.

JonF 79 Posted May 15, 2012 Not gonna lie, its kind of intimidating.
njplinker 8 Posted May 15, 2012 Not gonna lie, its kind of intimidating. Don't worry too much about it. Last match was my first competitive shoot ever and they made it pretty noob friendly. Just listen to the directions and follow the safety rules and you'll be fine. I had a great time last month and plan to attend this weekend....iron sight pistol again. M4BGRINGO 139 Posted May 15, 2012 I don't think Jon can handle this kind of pressure. If he does show-up we will take it easy on him.
JonF 79 Posted May 15, 2012 Well... as long as someone reminds me which is the business end of the gun again. You know how how scatter brained i can be! Remember that time i loaded all the bullets in the clip backards and blew the slide off right into the berm? Good times! lol
Mikeythumbs 1 Posted May 16, 2012 This sounds like fun is it a monthly thing cause I am taking my boater safety course this weekend( another crap way for jersey to get more mOre money).
raz-0 1,259 Posted May 16, 2012 Hey, is 10am sign up starts, or shooting starts. I'm assuming shooting, so when is sign up? When does it usually get done? I'm still trying to squeeze this into my schedule.
hd2000fxdl 422 Posted May 16, 2012 Wish I was going to be able to make it, looks like some fun stages but some don't look new shooter friendly, good luck everyone, see ya at next months match.
M4BGRINGO 139 Posted May 16, 2012 New shooters need to get there by 8:30 to check-in with Izzy so he knows you are safe and that you know how to use your gun. We can't start shooting until 9:00. Can't tell you when it will be done, depends on the crowd, but I would guess by 3:00 pm.
SW9racer 262 Posted May 17, 2012 The website says 10am. What time is registration, 9 - 9:30?
alec.mc 180 Posted May 17, 2012 The website says 10am. What time is registration, 9 - 9:30? I'd get there between 8.30a and 9.00am, parking can fill up quickly otherwise, and it's good to be a little early to get situated.

SW9racer 262 Posted May 19, 2012 Will be there at 8:30 with my son. He attended the latest uspsa training up in Shongum.
JonF 79 Posted May 20, 2012 I'm scorched. Good match though, i liked that dueling tree. So much so i want one of my own! Those skinny little pepper poppers for the rifles crack me up though. What are they? 1/100 scale? They must be only an inch wide. lol
hd2000fxdl 422 Posted May 20, 2012 So how did y'all do? Good turn out? Wish I was able to make it but will be in for next month.
FLHX 1 Posted May 20, 2012 I didn't like that tree, I think I took 40 shots in total on that stage and still left one plate. My 617 really pissed me off, I should of throw the gun at it instead. It was good for a laugh though. I need to redeem myself next month.
